A Book I Have to Have

I want to share a great English learning resource with all of MyEC.

A few weeks ago I found out about a wonderful book.  Some of you may already have one of these or have the earlier edition.  I really regret that I did not discover this great little book long ago.2346245679?profile=originalI had seen this book advertized, but I had assumed that it was similar to another I had looked at (for little children).  This book is best when bought in the Bilingual version of your 1st language combined with English.  The second edi

When you put yourself in the middle of a river your body will be carried away downstream to the mouth of the river where the water is polluted and stinks.

To maintain the position at the same spot you have to do some swimming.

An extra hard of swimming is required if you want to get to the purer, fresher, unpolluted water upstream at the head of the river.

Life is just like that, if you do nothing you cripple yourself physically, mentally and economically.

The movie "Ten Promises To My Dog" is originally a Japanese film called 犬と私の10の約束. I saw it incidentally on TV two weeks ago. The story is talking about a girl Akari, who is the age of 12. Her father is a famous doctor busy with his work every day, and her mother is a housewife who suddenly got sick and then passed away finally. Before her mother died, a puppy one day comes to her homeAkari loves the puppy so much and named it Socks becuase the puppy's fur on feet look like they are  dressed i

"But better die than live mechanically a life that is a repetition of repetitions. "

Even though repitition in some area of life, such as learning a new word, is useful, it's not so appealing on MYEC forum. Repetition on MYEC Forum drains energy

The world was created as one entity

Inseparable from human being

If the world trembles because of calamity

All of us couldn’t stay serenely

A couple of pearl were created to complement each other

If one pearl is gone, then so is the other

Leaving sole traces of shreds

Everything will be completely meaningless if it truly happens

If the most important part of our life has gone

Could you figure out what it really means??

So, my friend, wherever you are

Never ignoring little things

Cause, sometimes they cou

The Song of A Sad Bard

Don’t you know, my lovely pearl and little sister??

There are so many hardships we’ve been through

Together, we fight and battle the evil which tries to split us away

Together, we always stand victorious over all of obstacles that block our path

Together, we shed the tears of pearls like the most crybaby people who’ve ever lived on earth

Together, we laugh along the most ridiculous laugh the people have ever heard though there is no any funny thing

You have given me so much stuff, too much, but I giv

How to describe food??

2346245601?profile=original

Hello every body.

Hope you are doing fine.

Have you ever tried to describe food?

The kind of fruit you like or your favorite meal. How does it taste. It's shape and how does it feel? How its  textures feel in the mouth?!

I did and I was shocked by my Lack for the right words.

I was chatting with my dear friend Martin about kinds of fruits that we have in Sudan and they don't in Slovak, and the opposite. We both were stumped when we tried to describe them to each other.

It's easier to talk about the

Paraphrasing Seth's blog "Looking for the right excuse"

Going through the blogs topics I found many interesting blogs. This one has caught my attention. May be because I noticed this weakness in me and many of my people :S.

As I understand, Seth thinks that searching for excuses is the first step of project failure. Basically, blaming someone else makes us feel better and free of load.As he mentioned looking for excuses can even happens proactively (before actually starting the project). For exam

My practice at the shala today was a bit clumsy.I know that I am not supposed to judge but for the sake of my writing here , allow me to.

Upon entering the studio, there were already other women practicing with the teacher.I had to stay in front since I could not find any other spot.I started my practice with my savasana as usual then did my surya namaskar. My teacher w

Most of us who spent more than 15 years studying at school, there will always be those moments inside and outside our classrooms that will forever linger in our memories. Some will never forget that bully who used to pull of chair when you are about to sit, while some will laugh off the memory of their classroom clown who used to mimic the terror teachers at school. But a classroom will never be complete without a Ma'am or Sir,who either became mentor or tormentor. Let's back on the not so distant

According to the great blogger, Seth Godin,

"If you're going to work....."

We have to work efficiently. Most companies are strict when it comes to employee's performance on work. We have to compensate money and benefits that the company provides to us, in return for our labor. As we all know, our work is our "bread and butter".

As I see it, if we work efficiently, there would be a chance for growth and promotion. Your boss or the company would see you as a model employee to others. Indeed, he or

Fin Garden; My Next Stop

My family and I head to Fin Garden in Kashan, located in the center part of Iran, not far from the capital city. It only takes two hours to get there from Tehran. Fin Garden is one of the historical and important places in Kashan.

Cypress trees, various pools and fountains and a public bathroom have constructed Fin Garden. The fountains are very special because no pumps are used to bring the water into them. So, how is it possible that water comes to the fountains? There is a spring beh

I hope you’ll excuse me if my words hurt you. My main goal is not to insult anyone who chats or to condemn the act of chatting. However, I would like to share my personal experience in the chat room, which wasn’t pleasant at all.

The first thing that deeply hurts me to the core is to see my friends fight over a different opinion. Imagine, different members from different social class with different background are in the chat room. As such, they may have various opinions about religion, race

My New Country and my Night Job

Some of you know that I am now living in Saudi Arabia.  If you read my earlier post, you know about my "Day Job" during the school year.  Now that school is finishing up for the summer I have time to comment on my "Night Job".  I still must work four hours each morning, but it is much easier than during the school year.

Every Saturday through Wednesday night, I am teaching English to adults in a Private English Language Institute.  People pay to take English classes here after they have finished

She would be there to the rescue whenever she saw that there were some adjustments to be done.It was funny though because I missed 2 routi

I'm going to talk about life of the world in my first blog. the key words of this writing is why the world was created? This question is often asked by those who doubt that life has a significant meaning to be understood or this question also present in our mind as humans have the awareness that life is meaningfull then the question must be answered. so I think life begins from the question of human philosophy therefore it's answer is knowledge that human use to achieve life goals. then comes th
