Letter to an Unknown Father

Dear Papa,

Today, I was driving to work when suddenly, I thought of you.

The last few years have been difficult for me.

Where were you?

My heart started feeling empty, yet heavy.

I began to wonder if you're thinking about me too.

It's been a long while, hasn't it?

Have you been well?

Happy?

I pray so.

I know this is unexpected of me to write to you.

It's something I've never done in the past.

It's a pity that we never got a chance to be together at all.

You weren't there to hold me when Mother gave birth to

In the last few years, economy in Belqium has badly declined. In Wallonia, steel companies went out of business, as in Flanders, those making cars, as Ford, laid off a large number of their employees. In both cases, those companies were the pride of Belgium.

The minimum rate wages before income is about 1250 euros per month. To answer Expector's question, the average taxes rate is around 43% but it can go up to 70% ( for people who make A LOT of money) Most of us work the 6 first month of the y

There are many ways to celebrate birthdays. Generally they have a party and which would by attended by family or friends by inviting them to eat together at a restaurant. Convenience as the availability of a birthday cake, and other delicious food, cards, candles and all that goes to celebrate.

Far different from them, I celebrated my birthday, staying on the bed, cell phone in my hand and I sang a birthday song to myself, remembering past years I have passed. only that ...  no special celebrat

A Simple Child,
That lightly draws its breath,
And feels its life in every limb,
What should it know of death?

I met a little cottage Girl:
She was eight years old, she said;
Her hair was thick with many a curl
That clustered round her head
She had a rustic, woodland air,
And she was wildly clad:
Her eyes were fair, and very fair;
--Her beauty made me glad.

"Sisters and brothers, little Maid,
How many may you be?"
"How many? Seven in all," she said
And wondering looked at me.

 All that is gold
    J. R. R. Tolkien
 lotr.jpg

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.[

Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;
The carriage held but just ourselves
And Immortality.

We slowly drove, he knew no haste,
And I had put away
My labor, and my leisure too,
For his civility.

We passed the school, where children strove
At recess, in the ring;
We passed the fields of gazing grain,
We passed the setting sun.

Or rather, he passed us;
The dews grew quivering and chill,
For only gossamer my gown,
My tippet only tulle.

We paused before a house that seemed
A swelling of the

A Divine Image       William Blake

Cruelty has a human heart,
And Jealousy a human face;
Terror the human form divine,
And Secresy the human dress.

The human dress is forged iron,
The human form a fiery forge,
The human face a furnace sealed,
The human heart its hungry gorge.

 The Huntsman by Edward Lowbury

Kagwa hunted the lion,

Through bush and forest went his spear.
One day he found the skull of a man
And said to it, "how did you come here?"
and the skull answered, "talking brought me here.'

Kagwa hurried home, Went to the king's chair and spoke,
"In the forest I found a talking skull"
The king went silent, then he said slowly,
"Never since I was born of my mother
have I seen or heard of a skull which spoke."

The king called out his guards,
"Two of you now go with him
and fin

PURITY OF LIFE

PURITY OF LIFE

Khaliqur Rahman

Man is a queer admixture of the animal, the human and the divine. A simpler way of looking at Man is to see Man as body mind and soul. Freud sees Man as id , ego and super ego.

Then, there are the dichotomies: physical – ethereal, impure – pure and mortal – immortal .

God is one of the two opposites: ethereal, pure and immortal .

Ghalib in one of his couplets has said that the Pure cannot manifest itself without what is Impure. The glass needs a layer of mercury to refl

Belgium, officially the Kingdom of Belgium is situated in Western Europe, between Germany,
the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg and the North sea. It covers a area of about 30 500
square kilometers and has a population of about 11.000 000 inhabitants.
In my coutnry there are two main languages, in the northern part, people speak Flemish, in the
south we speak French. In addition, we also have a tiny little part just at the South East of Wallonia

A POEM ON SPELLING & PRONUNCIATION

Author not known

I take it you already know

Of TOUGH and BOUGH and COUGH and DOUGH.

Others may stumble but not you

On HICCOUGH, THOROUGH, LOUGH and THROUGH

Well done! And now you wish, perhaps,

To learn of less familiar traps.

Beware of HEARD, a dreadful word

That looks like BEARD and sounds like BIRD

And DEAD – it’s said like BED, not BEAD.

For goodness sake, don’t call it DEED!

Watch out for MEAT and GREAT and THREAT:

They rhyme with SUITE and STRAIGHT and DEBT.

Sometimes, I feel like my fingers are about to fall off (just like now)...yet I still manage to keep on tapping my keyboard.

But this is how I usually spend my day...and night....except when I'm playing with my kid or out running errands.
