You Are Not an Accident

I am your Creator. You were in my care even before you were born. Isaiah 44:2a (CEV)

God doesn't play dice. Albert Einstein

You are not an accident. Your birth was no mistake or mishap, and your life is no fluke of nature. Your parents may not have planned you, but God did. He was not at all surprised by your birth. In fact, he expected it. Long before you were conceived by your parents, you were conceived in the mind of God. He thought of you first. It is not fate, nor ch

Yes, we encourage you to help (to) correct each other. I hope you'll agree it's worth it!

When you try to correct each other/one another, you should make sure you really know the ropes. Leave what you aren't sure about uncorrected, for example, if you're not sure about 'part of something', then don't assume the sentence 'Making mistakes is part of learning' is incorrect.

I suggest you look it up in a dictionary if you're not sure about a collocation, a word or an idiom. Your English improves whil

2347273719?profile=originalMy dear friends! As I have nothing to do while my wife is so busy swearing Russian at the construction workers repairing our Kiev apartment, I have decided to post a grammar test using Tanya’s materials. Please, be sure, I have consulted her and will do it any time I am not sure how to explain your mistakes. I think you already know such tests. I am posting 15 sentences.  There is at least one mistake in each sentence, but there may be more. The mistakes are not underlined. So, your task is to f

Every child loves birthday party and presents, so I always have something up my sleeves to catch my kids off guard. Once we were on a trip; it was their birthday but it seemed like they had forgotten it. So  when we came back from sightseeing  I asked my sister to take them to yard and keep them busy, then my husband and I went to a confectionery and bought some balloons, a birthday cake, candles and of course presents . I will never forget their happy face as soon as they entered the room.

I bet nobody is really happy to be corrected, even though they know it's helpful in improving their English.

Sure, I'm no exception - it can be so frustrating when I know somebody has corrected me. I've been learning English since I was little, and I'm the blog moderator of MyEC, a well-known English learning and teaching website. Can you imagine how frustrated or disappointed I was when I knew I was still making mistakes?

"No, no - I'm supposed to speak fluent English and my English writing shou

6.36 p.m.

I was driving . I stopped at the red signal . There was nothing to do then I  looked at green grass along a road moving like strong waves in the sea . Trees were been shaking by the strong wind . The sky was grey . I was waiting for green traffic light . My car moved after the green light shone . Suddenly it rained . After the rain , I saw the first rainbow at 6.36 pm . It was 167 days of 2016 till the first rainbow showed up here .

Joe owns many textile companies. Other than a few senior employees, none of the workers knew their boss. He wants to get a clear picture of his own companies so he decided to go undercover.

Joe went to work with his employees as an
apprentice tailor. He noticed lots of good and bad things among the workers.  After a week of his undercover work he had an urgent meeting with his seniors. One of the managers whispering to his colleague next to him said 'He may have something up his sleeve'-I hope m

Commitment and Convenience

A commitment can only be felt when it oversteps convenience. That which is convenient, you do not call commitment. If you just go on your convenience, your commitment falls apart causing more inconvenience! If you keep dropping your commitment because it is inconvenient, can you be comfortable?

Often, what is convenient does not bring comfort, but gives an illusion of comfort. Also, if you are too stuck in commitment, and it is too inconvenient too often, you will be unable to fulfill your commit

have something up your sleeve

This is in response to Expector's

Blog Challenge: have something up your sleeve

It is extremely difficult to get the picture of what is happening around the world.  The onlooker just see the superficial  hustles and bustles occur around and start talking, or put the blame of the happening on certain section of the society instead of thinking about the circumstances which cause the occurring.  It may be possible that the incident in itself has something up its sleeve.  There may be some ulterior m

Yes, it's an idiom which means 'have a secret idea or plan that you intend to use later' or 'have a surprise plan or solution (to a problem)'.

You may have something good or bad in your sleeve, for example, you may try to cheat by having a card hidden in your sleeve:)  I hope you have something great for a puzzling problem or a situation, though.

You could write a short paragraph by using the idiom - it can be fun if you really get the picture. Here's a sample paragraph for you:

Dear friends,

First let me say, Happy Ramadan! And, I hope, you all are doing good. This is holy month Ramadan so I am doing fast. This year I am more concern about food than before. Everyday I am trying to arrange healthy  items. And, trying to avoid  fried and spicy food. Though, is it not that easy!

I myself has been broken into pieces by a man I love the most, I lost my faith and trust. But this night while listening to the radio, a caller, a man told his story to the nationwide, a man that truly and deeply in love with his wife despite of getting pregnant with other guy while he is away with his family to work in other country. Have you been in a situation where your skills and creativity were underappreciated? Or have you ever been mocked because of your race, religion, and physical qualities? If so, please take a few minutes to read my writing.

Life is unfair. If it isn't, then there's no discrimination or hatred. Bill Gates even mentioned it in one of his speeches. In the real world and on the Internet, you'll meet lots of people who are boastful, ruthless, and self-absorbed. They're everywhere! They love to steal yo
