Dear friends,
First let me say, Happy Ramadan! And, I hope, you all are doing good. This is holy month Ramadan so I am doing fast. This year I am more concern about food than before. Everyday I am trying to arrange healthy items. And, trying to avoid fried and spicy food. Though, is it not that easy!
Still it is summer here. So, most of the time we are getting very harsh and hot weather. Hence, sometimes rain comes and make life easier. How about over there?
Now I would like to say what food/ meals I prefer for my family and me during Ramadan. In Iftar ( fast breaking) I prefer hochpoch. It is made of rice and lentil. You may add different kinds of beans, potatoes, ladies fingers etc. It is really healthy. I prefer to have a bit soft kind of hochpoch which is not so thick that means there is more water but not like washy. I sometimes prefer pap. Pap is made of scented rice, it is a bit washy food item. I prefer banana and milk with it. Yes, I like bread with liquid milk and sugar ( a bit) too. There is another thing which I want to add as a healthy item, that is potato chop. I prefer boiled half egg inside it. So, now it is your turn to say about healthy food items.
Please drink adequate water and stay fine. One more point, Fast is also observed in other religions too. It is good for our health specially for our digestive systems. It also helps to get a slender and fit body!

Dear Afro , Lovely letter about fast and healthy eating. Once in a month I do fast, its not for any religious reason. I finish my fast with a lovely smoothie with lots of seasonal fruits and coconut milk.
