Why Blogging in a Community is better than Blogging Alone:

To discuss this topic I would like to invite you to read my blog on the topic “Why Blogging is Useful for English Learners” wherein I have discussed that a writer’s (blogger’s) first wish is to be read, read by maximum readers so that he would be able to get their comments, to improve how to use the vocabulary, and later on make a place in the world of literature. In my opinion blogging is the priority after making a habit of reading. A d

Members here do re-publish old blogs as new. Maybe they just want to share their old blogs again. Sometimes they may have re-edited a blog and re-pulished it again. Here's my two cents:

We need more writing practice to sharpen our writing skills - the more you write, the better. Only when you write can you realize where you're weak or where you need to improve, even though you've learned all the basic rules. That's why I encourage our members here to keep writing new blogs instead of re-publishin

Writing Challenge: Stepmother

This is the last month Writing Challenge. Many challengers took parts in the writing challenge with so much enthusiasm and expressed their affections for their mothers impressively, but none of them wrote a blog on a stepmother who also plays positive or negative role in the life of a stepchild. Maybe none of them had  the stepmother.

So, let me introduce you my stepmother who always comes in the time of necessity. I am sure you must have met this mother many times or at least once a life. I me

Tried my best to participate in Tara's monthly challenge. (Lol I really forgot so many things which I had learned few months ago)

Teachers, I would love to be corrected! So, here is my entry!

To read and write useful blogs should be very important for the English language teachers. They should blog on different, interesting and easy topics to grab the attention of their readers/ learners. A reader/learner would love reading a blog, full of knowledge yet easily understood. Blogging would be a great

How blogging has changed my life:

Before I came to know how to blog (writing on a website forum), I was in a complete suffocation, and surprisingly I didn't know the reason of all the burden I had on my heart.   Because of such faded nature, I didn't have confidence in myself and always shied out where I was needed to speak or express.  I didn't have many friends.  And whenever or whatever company I had, I simply sat quiet listening to others and not responding.  Then I became a hermit.   In such

WHY ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHERS SHOULD BLOG?

A teacher is a guide, a mentor and an ideal for students.   Language learners always expect to have some new words, new lines, new thoughts and new ideas from their mentor.  They have an unexpressed attachment with their teacher and expect that their problem will be solved by him or her in a jiffy.  And sure a good teacher knows all this, so she leaves no stone unturned to provide all the knowledge to the students.

English language, especially because of

Why Blogging is Useful for English Learners

Blogging has many advantages for English learners. As we know, writing is an important skill for learning English and learners can improve their writing skill by blogging. When they want to transfer their thought on paper, they put words together to make sentences and whenever they got stuck for equivalent words in English, they can look them up a dictionary and find the proper words, in this way they learn more vocabulary, therefore writing blogs can h

Some members here may find it so confusing. Then, what's the difference between a blog and a post? You just published a blog or a post, you may ask yourself. And, what's a blog post?

If you look up 'blog' in a dictionary, you'll find it refers to 'diary', 'journal' or 'log'. Does it mean you need to write here every day or daily? You definitely don't really want to do that. Then, how about the word 'post', which exactly means 'a piece of writing'? You just keep posting/publishing posts here in My

The words are magic, I tell you, magic!  The hole invitingly loomed in front of me and I crawled in cautiously fearful of what I might encounter in the glowing expanse.  Then a quick glance around revealed quite a welcoming sight so that I wiggled further and made my way inside.  I let my eyes drink in all the fascinating things happening around me and revel in the hustle and bustle of its energy.  I watched as lives unfurled in front of me like butterflies from a cocoon and the laughter around

Why Blogging is Useful for English Learners?

Blogging is said to post (publish) a writer’s own experiences, observations, opinions feelings on a website or in a forum for the benefit of the readers.  A writer’s first wish is to be read, read by maximum readers so that he would be able to get their comments to his benefit, to improve language, vocabulary, and later on make a place in the world of literature.

If a flower were a princess , a balloon flower would be Cinderella . Why ? Because the blue petals remind me of Cinderella in her gorgeous blue gown.

2347027140?profile=original

The flower doesn't need magic to be beautiful like Cinderella . It needs only sunlight and water and can remain beautiful all through the night not just at midnight .

At the beginning ,the flower bud is a hollow balloon .

You may have posted a blog, and found that Expector failed to leave a comment on it. You may have wanted to ask 'How come Expector failed to add a comment on my blog?'.

Yes, Expector is the blog mod here, and he's supposed to keep an eye on the 'Blogs', but it doesn't necessarily mean he'll read and leave a comment on every blog, even though he dose try to do so. Then, what if he failed to leave a comment on your blog?

Try to let him know if you really want him to comment on your blog

He may be too

Dear M.....,

How are you doing? I am sure, you were waiting for my phone call yesterday. I think, you should be! Anyway, I was too busy. But, I must confess, I should have made it.

Anyway, I hope, you are coming here to join us. Please, remember, you should bring my laptop which I left last month over there. Hey, have you any plan to go to Cox's bazar this time. If so, you should buy some floating games for our kid.

And,  here, I should arrange some necessary things by this time. Like, I should buy

Writing Prompt: "should"

You should come and see what has happened to me since you struck me out of your life.  If you come you should bring all your courage to see me.  It shouldn’t be nice at all.  Friends say one should have a hard heart to bear this pain. I did have a broken heart.  I should have been careful and didn’t trust you while you declared your love in the first place.  I should have closed my heart, but unluckily I didn’t do any such thing.  I shouldn’t have bought your story and be in myself.  But I melt

You Say What!

Have you ever try to match certain English idioms or phrases with your own native language? I always do that. Sometimes it's very obvious but at other time, it's just plain mind boggling. In here, I want to share with you the Malay idioms or phrases and it's English correspondence, or maybe I should say the other way round.

1. Jump out of the frying pan into the fire

This idiom means to go from a bad situation to even worst situation. In Malay, we have a similar idiom; 'Keluar dari mulut buaya mas

Writing Challenge : Mothers

About a month ago, my sister in law gave birth to her second son. The birth marked the 24th nephews and nieces that I have. (Phewwww! I have to count them twice just to make sure the number was correct). As you can gauged already, I come from a big family. Well, eight other siblings to be exact.

My sister in law decided not to give birth at her hometown, thus she had to be on her own during the confinement. When I had to recuperate after my surgery, my sister in law, even in her late stage of pre

It is a well known saying or proverb in my country. Here, elderly citizens like to use it to teach the young people. Yes, we should strike while the iron is hot. Otherwise, we may miss something good.

Every year, sales are available during summer. Most of the big shopping malls  offer it. I can see this sort of advertisements almost everyday in the dailies. But, I think, I should strike the iron while it is hot otherwise they may change the offer.

One year back, I got a job. It was in the U.K. But
