Writing Challenge: Mother

All relationships you maintain go under a contract. If your friend does a favor to you, he may expect a favor from you when he is in trouble. Relationship builds up with wife though a written contract. All though our life, such relationships are fostered under contract. Some contracts are clearly written and some are not. To have a successfull relationship, we have to abide by rules that we bear in our mind, or write on the paper. There is one relationship in this world that doesn't care for any rule; mother-child relationship. Mother's love never ends.

If you do not complete you assigned task at work, your company can suspend you. Friends usually desert you when you are in a fix. If you fail to do something, very few people stand beside you, sometimes may be no one. When you get success people surrounds you applauding, and when you fail, get no one to console you except the one-your Mum.

As to my Mum, I've experienced all the aspects as stated above. She knows every pulse of me. She knows when I'm in need of what, when I want a cup of tea, when I want a extra loaf of meal. Seems it is written all over on my face, she just read it by scanning my face. Sometimes she don't have to look at even my face when I'm far away she just knows. She knows me even more than myself. And she never gets exhausted by taking care of me! I'm unable to express all my feelings with the words in my hand. May be, my words are not ordered properly to convey my thought. May be, I'm not as genius as writers and poets. So here I'm gong to put a few lines of a poem by Ann Taylor.

Who sat and watched m y infant head,

She sleeping on my cradle bed,

And tears of sweet affection shed?

My Mother.

When pain and sickness made me cry,

Who gazed upon my heavy eye,

And wept for fear that I should die?

My Mother.

.........

P.S. Guys feel free to put correction of my writing in the comment thread

  • Thanks Expertor Smith.

I wish I would be not be in league of kids who take their mother's love as granted. I want to appreciate every thing she did, does and will do for us

  • Thank again Mishaikh

  • Nice work!

Thanks for sharing - I really appreciate it. Mothers' love for their kids can be so tremendous, but their kids may take the love for granted - some kids are even spoiled so much that they don't really know they're loved.

  • Very true Gatsby, but it is natural, not a deficiency, if it is not so, a guy is COLD from inside out.

  • Thanks Mishaikh for your loving words.

Sometime words are beyond our grasp when we want to express something deeply from our heart, and when we turn for words to express mother's love then it goes beyond reach for sure.

    Thanks again for the appreciation.
