Dear members

Another bad side of my beloved country.

An experience of years being among heterogeneous people and behavior of western people has greatly convinced me to review my fun blog which was written describing the repulsive attitude of western wife. Whereas, such kind of wife is found in majority in my country, especially in my home city, Karachi. These are thankless wives, who are suffered from complex inferiority and make their husband involve in corruption and other evils. Generally, Peop

This blog hasn't corrected, it’s full of mistakes. I didn't want it to be viewed or checked by any native speaker, as I usually do. Because I think it would be quite charming to be posted with mistakes. ‘’Blog fits with the title’’

In this blog, I want to talk about the mistakes that I used to make throughout my learning.
As far as I am concerned the learner isn't impeccable from making errors, therefore everyone can make mistakes and even in his/her native language. That could be in grammar, sp

Virtual World, Virtual Friends

This topic had been on my mind for quite some time. Recent events in EC prompted me to finally take a deep breath and write this.

EC Members who came to "know" me through chats, blogs and comments will realise that I tried to put things in more light and humourous ways. I tried my best not to take things too seriously in this virtual world.

Edward Bulwer-Lytton coined a very powerful phrase in his play Richelieu; Or the Conspiracy, 1839: "The pen is mightier than the sword". Though in EC world; th

 Hi everybody, in one more  post on this MyEc blog section I want to talk about reasons that lead somebody not to achieve the  longed fluency in English.

 #First excuse: " I'm not so good at languages"

  That is a popular excuse for not to advance in fluency process, but remember that you have or not have ease in any idiom, the first thing you have to have is willingness to learn, the will for learning will lead you to another level of view for the learning process.

# Second excuse: " I'm afraid to

I know I am writing about something that many of you will not have access to where you live.  But since this is a global community, it may benefit some of you.  I recently acquired a Kindle Paperwhite from Amazon.  The Kindle Paperwhite is an electronic book (e-book) reader (an e-reader) that has its own built in lighting.

Some of its other features that I appreciate include: the ability to change the font size (but it doesn't work for pdf documents) with a quick touch;

I used to spell "Bride" and "Groom" incorrectly. These were really silly mistakes, because even a little misspell in English, it will have big difference meaning.

Making some mistakes in learning is common and it happens. Without having mistakes we can't improve our knowledge and can't be better.

I used to be confused when should distinguish between Bride and Groom. Sometimes, I used to say Bride as Groom and the opposite. So, whenever I would say about Bride or Groom, I took my dictionary to find

I used to make mistake in writing the Number 19 in Words...I ll often get confused whether the Letter "e" should be there or not....

whether it is Nineteen or Ninteen....

This doubt I always have for almost all the words that ends with the Letter "e"...

I dont know when it has entered into my mind that if we have to add "ed" or "ing" or "teen" to the word ending with the letter "e" then that "e" (Bee is called as "E" in our Tamil Language) should be waved off... i think my kindergarten teacher woul

  Hi everyone, down It's some points concerning to spoken English, which in my view, It is worth checking it out ;))

1 - Don't be a fearful speaker ;

  If you really want to take the first step, dare to speak to everyone you can, since family members to pen pals ( sure, if they have some English skill). The speaking in English is the first and most important step to a sucessful and fluent conversation. No matter if you have a vast or reduced vocabulary, just start to speak, even all alone in your

2346591556?profile=originalWhen people use a particular word or expression, others begin to use the same word or expression. But if the word or expression is being used incorrectly, then others learn incorrect use.

For example, I often hear people such as news readers use the word "amount" when it should have been "number".

Number should be used for anything that is countable eg,

"The number of people who can fit in this elevator is 10."

Amount is used for quantities that aren't countable eg,

"The amount of water in the ocean

A life is delusion

God made the illusion look real
and the real an illusion.
He concealed the sea
and made the foam visible,
the wind invisible,
and the dust manifest.
you see the dust whirling,
but how can the dust rise by itself?
you see the foam,but not the ocean.
invoke Him with deeds, not words;
for deeds are real
and will save you in the infinite-life.

1. I just remembered the name "Shakespeare" the same way - in which there are "shake" and "are".

I used to send "a massage" instead of "a message" to friends

                                                                          ——By Expector Smith

2. I used to mix up "bald", smb w/o hair, and "bold", smb courageous. But then quite by accident remembered the name of one of the character's in Pushkin's tale "The Tale of the Priest and of His Workman Balda", which means "a stupid person in Russian

Most tutors, at the start of the program, get to introduce the objective of this and that. Yet, at the middle of the semester, that imparted knowledge slowly dissolves, become forgotten, or lost. Perhaps, all students would need is a bit of review.

And here’s an example of a coursework review:

Writing what you speak – is this what linguistic essays is about?

Yes and its more than that. As an evaluative tool, it is students’ duty to pour whatever they learned in the piece. It is the only tangible pr

Why Are We Here....???

I like learning about other languages, espesially English. I have learnt English since I was in Senior High School.. But...you can see,,I have no good English skill..

2346582945?profile=originalHello, there!

Teacher Bia published a blog about the occurrence of Arabic words in English a couple of days ago. To my amazement, she has come up with 160 examples to back up the fact! Though I've never heard some of the words before, I could pronounce them immediately with no problem when I looked up in the dictionary for their phonetic spellings. It was good fun - I enjoyed it a lot! Here are the 160 words written in the form of phonetic transcriptions (phonetic spellings) and my voice recordin
