Teacher Bia published a blog about the occurrence of Arabic words in English a couple of days ago. To my amazement, she has come up with 160 examples to back up the fact! Though I've never heard some of the words before, I could pronounce them immediately with no problem when I looked up in the dictionary for their phonetic spellings. It was good fun - I enjoyed it a lot! Here are the 160 words written in the form of phonetic transcriptions (phonetic spellings) and my voice recording. I'm dedicating the List and Audio to the 12 avid learners of Phonetic Study in our EC Virtual Classroom created by Rajesh. Enjoy!

There’s no doubt at all that Vocaroo is the easy option. Nonetheless, the webmaster of Vocaroo will delete our audio files at his end a few months later. We will, therefore, not hear any sound coming from our embedded audio player.
To save the situation, I would suggest that you use AudioPal. Now, there’s a small problem with AudioPal. If you opt to record your voice directly to AudioPal, you could only do 60 seconds of recording. But it’s possible to stretch the 1 minute to 7 minutes if you upload an audio file* to AudioPal from your computer.
* You could record your voice with Vocaroo first, then download it to your computer before uploading it to AudioPal. Please check one of my comments (dated: September 3, 2012) HERE and learn how to do this. Thank you!
i have done it before ... by VOCAROO
Hi, Sakshi!
Thanks a lot for your gentle click on the 'Like' button! I'm sorry that you had to endure my long recording till the very last word, 'zero' /ˈzɪərəʊ/.
Dear Shining Star,
It’s nice to know that you’re working on the actual Arabic pronunciation of those 160 words. It’s particularly interesting that you’ll be sharing it with us. Thanks in advance!
Well! Don’t get me wrong, I wonder whether you’ve embedded an audio player before anywhere here on our EC. You can learn from my blog about a few online voice recorders and how exactly we embed an audio player on a web page. This is the link to that blog of mine:

P.S. Please don’t hesitate to ask me if you face any problems with those audio recorders. Cheers!
