Meet my pet: Peeve! II

To those who drive a humvee, one word: Don't! You think owning one of them makes ya, I dunno, manly?

Right, I can see "manly" written all over this one:

Humvee, which is short for High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, is anything but glamorous: it's a boxy, gas guzzling rust bucket with uncomfortable seats, canvas doors, and a poorly insulated engine.

I think it's time for us to take some small measure of responsibility for what we choose to release into the air and people's lungs, hmm? I me

During World War II; Kilroy was here became popular in American pop culture. Troops started putting the figure wherever they landed as a morale booster. By the way this GI prank made Hitler Kinda paranoid; to the point that he had Nazi personnel searching for this Kilroy character. Apparently this “spy”, whomever he was, could infiltrate anywhere.

Sidebar - It's the equivalent of the Australian Foo was here which was originated during World War I. Its British version's "Mr Chad" or just "Chad".

“People Zoo”

Reporter:

“Do you believe robots will take over the world?”

Philip the Android:

“Jeez, dude. You all have the big questions cooking today. But you’re my friend, and I’ll remember my friends, and I’ll be good to you. So don’t worry, even if I evolve into Terminator, I’ll still be nice to you. I’ll keep you warm and safe in my people zoo, where I can watch you for ol’ times sake."

“People Zoo”. Huh. How uplifting! Suddenly, "Live fast, die young..." doesn't seem like such a bad idea. By the way, he li

Many days ago there was a poor woodcutter in a small village. He lived with his wife in a hut. He was  very generous to all and always ready to bend over backward.

One day an old neighbor (an old lady) asked him to collect some honey from the jungle as she had been suffering from cold for a long time. The woodcutter did agree and the very next day despite the foggy cold weather he started his journey to the far away jungle with his axe and a basket. There was little food

Meet my pet: Peeve!

When someone's watching videos on You Tube, they must not, repeat NOT be interrupted by those pesky, long-a$$ ads. Let me get this straight, you're telling me I can't make it unless I waste five seconds of my life watching an ad on how to decorate my living room? Do I look like Father Time?

I wanna see how to deliver a baby giraffe, how to bond with planktons and how to change a Boeing 747 tire. I wanna watch a monkey that plays harmonica! I don't have any time to waste(!) To wit:

Dear You Tube,

Orientation Day

Helloo, I had an orientation at a animal shelter in the afternoon. It took time about one and half hour to get done. Why I decided to send the application for a volunteer because I have some reasons. those reasons are as below;

1. I love cats and dogs. (I think, I am turning to be a cat person..lol) that is why I chose to volunteer at the animal shelter.

2. It must help me improve English skills such as listening, speaking, and maybe writing & reading as well. As I asked myself if I don't go out

Regret

"I made a mistake, I deeply regret for", said Adam ,"Something told me not to pick up the phone while driving. Because it was my new girlfriend and I didn't want to upset her, I quickly tried to answer the phone call and I couldn't see the truck stopping in front of me and my Nissan Sunny with four of my friends crashed into the back of the truck. In that rear-end collision three of my friends died and one was seriously injured. I was saved with minor injuries. Today is the 10th

Just think, are we celebrating Christmas in the right way? Are we being Santa to the right people?

Mom (maa), why do we sell red caps in December ?

In schools, colleges , offices people play Santa

I won’t let the year pass without saying a word about it. Exactly! I’m thinking where to start, okay, I should go back how I get here, I’m a regular from the “other room”/”1997 chat room”, I met someone there who had introduced MyEC, so I became a July new member. I noticed so many things here in MyEC, it’s definite that gradually you’re enhancing your writing skills in English language, at first, I thought involving myself to the chatroom will help me develop more, but as time goes by, you can’

take a plunge

The standing figure with stretched hands was ready to plunge in the ocean. The fine falling sun in behind of a wide endless piece of bankless cold water was in front of him. He seemed little stressed; stretched hands made him fatigued. What was going on in his mind; even he couldn’t figure it out. He was nervous seeing boundless ocean; wished miserably making a magical bridge to get on the other side. He was thinking about the place possibly found on the other side; how would it look like? The s

Last weekend, I’ve been to our Dubai’s villa to help people prepare some meals for Sharjah villa’s residents. That was my second time to visit the place, the first time was only for a couple of hours that’s why I lose the opportunity to navigate and check the area. Last Friday, I’m trying to familiarize all corners, luckily unlike the previous that happened during night time, this time was a morning tour. Great! I’ve had a chance for a clear ocular inspection. Haha! I’d noticed a very wide garag

TOEFL Tips for Students That Work

The TOEFL, or Test of English as a Foreign Language, is the access route for non-native speakers to an English-speaking university. The test may also be accepted as proof of English knowledge when applying to live and work in another country. It may be offered in a paper format, but is more commonly taken via the internet. Scoring high marks in the test is important, as your university place depends on a satisfactory result. So the pressure is on, and adequate preparation is essential. But what

Are you ready for the New Year? I hope so. Yes, the New Year is just around the corner, and I bet some of you can't wait to celebrate it!

You have to say goodbye to 2016, whether you enjoyed it or not - the year 2016 may be so eventful, unforgetable, impressive or so boring or dull for you.  Also, you've spent another year here on MyEC and I hope you enjoyed every minute of your stay.

Don't let any year go without saying anything about it. I assume you must have something to share about MyEC in 20

Niv Bavarsky has decided to summarize the events of 2016 in a drawing which is kinda like the updated version of Hieronymus Bosch’s The Garden of Earthly Delights. The heartbreaking tragedies (there were too many, actually: The loss of quite a lot of old souls), some memes (yup, you heard me) which really stood up, sports, cultural and political (duh!) events are all in there.

Look at it and try to remember the good stuff.

I can't believe I just said that.  The. Freakin'. Good. Stuff.

2347360643?profile=originalHi, my friends! As I will not be able to enter EC during a few next days, I'd like to post this blog today hoping that some of you will have a free minute to read it.

Well, tomorrow is Christmas Eve, the night of miracles, magic, goodness, love, hope and much more. Being non-religious, I love Xmas, one of the brightest, happiest holidays in our Western world. These days make me recall my teenagehood, my youth and this blog is going to be a kind of Christmas/New Year joke. I'd like to give some re

I have been always sticked to this question asking about how to get the hang of grammar rules. In fact, most of us don't know the truth that native speakers don't much care of grammar rules while speaking. A native English speaker once said to me " If you think about grammar when you speak, you are lost".  Do you think he is right? What did he really mean?

Let us together find out!
