Some people like to collect stamps. I like collecting quotes! Some give me insight and some make me relaxed and remind me of having fun and being free. I thought maybe this benefits my friends as it did to me.
Here are some of them:

Diseases are all over around and inside our body. Bacteria, viruses, pollen grains, fungal spores, wind, toxic materials, metabolic wastes are only a few of the examples. We cannot escape from their attacks unless we have something to protect us. Fortunately God has provided us with a system that guard against such hazardous objects.
In it we have bone marrow that contains stem cells which are capable of becoming any other type of cells including antibodies. The system can also supply nutrients a
Sarah is in the office of DSWD, a government agency for social works and welfare. Last night, she happened to watch news about the government's internship program. It has been lunched to help the in-school students who wanted to have a summer job, those out-of-school youth, as well as those people who wanted to have an experience that they could bring about in their resume for the next job hunting. Well, Sarah's reasons lie on the former and the latter; a summer job plus experience. Besides, it
Nothing I must do
Nowhere I should be
No one in my life
To answer to but me
No more candlelight
No more purple skies
No one to be near
As my heart slowly dies
If I could hold you one more time
like in the days when you where mine
I'd look at you 'till I was blind
So you would stay
I'd say a prayer each time you'd smile
Cradle the moments like a child
I'd stop the world if only I
Could hold you one more time
(hmmmmmm)
I've memorized your face
I know your touch by heart
Still lo

In my career I had good presentations, when I was praised for my oratorical skills, and...less good ones, when I was asked what happened with me. When I look back, I cannot say what determines a presentation to be good. Is it the fact that you have a good day? That you are self confident? That you are well prepared? In my opinion, you definitely need all of these, still... there are people who reach to make very good presentations without having all of the attributes above; they are good actor
My friend Ali has told this tale ;
Tak ..tek ..tak ..tek ……the sound of clock came from a distance . It was a good rhythm for my aunt’s song …Lool ….lool lovely son lool ..lool …..She was singing for her baby At mid night a famous traditional song . The baby became so calm as soon as he listened to mother’s song , and slept peacefully in her warm lap. I was older than her baby . Although I was often resisting sleeping to enjoy her singing , but many times , I slept before her baby .
We have grown

Dear MyEC Members,
Today I have a special request! We need a few volunteers to help out in the MyEC Video Gallery. As I mentioned a few months ago, the video gallery needs to be cleaned up! I truly believe that this space has great potential. Videos such as this one and this one can be very useful for practising English.
Nadiyah has done an excellent job with the MyEC Photo Gallery. Most photos on MyEC have appropriate titles. They often have descriptions and tags, too. Nadiyah comes up with int
You may know the story of the old man who had two sons long ago.
The sons decided that they wanted their inheritance right away so the father divided his property between them. One son stayed at home and worked to increase his property and help his father.
The other son went far away and wasted his money on many things and did not find ways to increase it. After years passed he had no money and only the clothes on his back. So, he came home to his family.
The father welcomed his son who had been lo
This week I had a chance to visit a theatre. I can’t do it often because of my busy life. So it was a great event for me. And it isn’t surprisingly, as there were some important reasons for it. First of all, the performance was given in a new-built theatre for the first time after the opening. It is the theatre for young spectators but it gives performances for adults as well. A new building is magnificent. The next reason was the performance itself. It was a premiere of the well-known Russian n
When fire starts burning,
Wind intensify it.
Fire burns the wind and create water,
Water flows and understand the healing,
and always remains peaceful.
Fire ignites and lighten the earth,
with his fiery spirit.
Fire burns the earth and water fertile it.
Wind breezes and gives life,
At the end when fire starts dying,
Earth consume it inside and never let it die.
It's a pain and trauma of both.
Fire is lightest and has no weight.
Fire cannot be corrupted because it is pure.
Fire is the energy and

Two men, one American and an Indian were sitting in a bar drinking shot after shot. The Indian man said to the American, You know my parents are forcing me to get married to this so called homely girl from a village whom I haven't even met once. We call this arranged marriage. I don't want to marry a woman whom I don't love... I told them that openly and now have a hell lot of family probl

This weekend I am going to be talking to teachers about the "Learning English Video Project". This is a set of 7 short films about learning English. Each film takes place in a different country. I am going to show teachers an example from the film "Thoughts from Brazil".
I think MyEC members will like "Thoughts from Brazil". It features some teens who use sites such as Facebook or MySpace to practice English.
Will you take part in an online video lesson with me?
Feel free to do all 5 activities
Early this year, I was able to experience one of the most celebrated festivals in my country. It's the Kalibo Ati-Atihan Festival.
The Kalibo Ati-Atihan Festival is held every third week of January in the town of Kalibo, Aklan, Philippines. This is celebrated to honor the Holy Child Jesus Christ. Local people call him, "Sr. Sto. Nino". It is common for devotees and tourists to carry icons and replicas of the holy child. Just like what I'm holding on some of my photos.
Devotees honor the Sto. Nino
