Persian start their new year when nature is born again in spring, and they celebrate it with nature.

Nowruz has many traditional customs just like starting new year everywhere.

The elephants at this reserve were very well looked after, no poking with the hook and the mahout was soft spoken and kind.
The elephants rested twice during the ride of 2 hours and each time the chair was removed.
The track for the elephant to walk was good, quiet, no steep or slippery slopes, as can be found elsewhere ( e.g. Ankor ).

1. In reported question, the subject comes before the verb.

          He asked where I was going.

          (NOT... He asked where was I going.)

          I asked where the President and his wife were staying.

          (NOT... I asked where were the Presidnent and his wife staying.)

Auxiliary do is not used.

          I wondered how they felt.

          (NOT... I wondered how did they feel.)

Question marks are not used.

Infinitive after who, what, how etc

1. In reported speech, we can use an infinitive after the question-words who, what, where etc (but not why) to talk about questions and the answers to questions.

When I was in Khartoum, the Capital of the Sudan, I found a small book which has an attractive title; (Learn English in 4 Days without a Teacher), in a very local bookshop, there are some words and phrases translated in Arabic Language in the book.
