Rainy Day
As I lay here and I wonder
Just what to do today
The sun outside has disappeared
Those clouds have hidden it away
The rain is surely falling
The birds are silent in their homes
Yet nature she’s still calling
I will never be alone
I’m very rarely planning
Because plans do twist and turn
There is never such a sure thing
When its knowledge I do yearn
My day has now just started
The fun has now begun
I put a smile back on my face
I know the sun will soon return
A day is still worth living
A day can still be great
Your life is surely giving
When you have a camera as your mate
So…….I take my camera and go outside

Hi Shane,
I was reading old blog posts here and came across your poem. To me, Rain is a good metaphor calling us back to the exact hole we belong to ,that's why it reminds me of longing for something buried in somewhere in cheerful old days.
Hope you are fine there.

WOW... nice poem. Love it. By the way, it's been raining cats and dogs over here for the last few days. And floods are every where.
