My friend Sima's love story of Shirin and Farhad had aspired me to write this story. The Legend of Mahsuri is a famous Malay legend which had been told and retold countless times and became a myth. I never read any of English version of this story, if any. I'm writing this story after gathering information from various local sources and trying my best to stay true to the legend.

Mahsuri - The Legend

According to the legend, Mahsuri was a beautiful Malay lady who lived in Padang Matsirat, Langkawi

 I know most of us have some disbelief in this major  web-encyclopedia, but, calm, don't overdo it! I can list some steps which you can follow to assure you're extracting a secure-source web material ; )

1 - Pay attention in the source(s) of the article(s);

  First, look at if the article which you are acessing is provided by more than one source or not. If it has just one source, beware it cannot be a good option to extract informations from it to your school, college work;

"Dear Frankie" is one of the best movies I've ever seen. In the beginning of the movie, you have no idea what is going on and gradually, the story unfolds. "Dear Frankie" is about a deaf boy who does not know about his father at all. All he knows is that he was a sailor and he has been sailing on the sea with his ship, ACCRA. Every day "Frankie" writes a letter to his dad. However, the letters never get to his dad. Instead, his mother picks the letters up from the post office and replies him bac

"the recipe for fluency is unique to each individual learner." is a statement I readily agree with just as each person has a learning style that best suits them.  No two individuals learn exactly alike.  Maybe it will help some of you.

A debate between beauty and wisdom

Beauty says, "I am the most demanded one in the world. Everyone desires me more than you."

Wisdom says, "People, who don’t desire me, are usually in trouble."

Beauty says, "When people look at me, they forget their trouble."

Wisdom says, "To forget trouble does not mean, it's removed. It needs a solution and without me, it's impossible!"

Beauty says, "I am stronger than you. I believe so."

Wisdom says, "But remember you (beauty) fade away with the passage of time, wh

what women want
is frequently the pros and cons of the debate There will always be about Do men understand women

Wait—you don’t think that’s uncommon knowledge? How about the fact that scientists have determined that men have difficulty understanding women on a neurological level, because that is how their brains are hardwired? Researchers in Germany had men look at photographs of people’s eyes and attempt to identify the emotions being expressed. When the eyes in the image were those of a woman,

This morning, when I wanted to go to work, I heard a mewling sound coming underneath my car. Knowing that sometimes kitten(s) loved to lay down underneath my car, especially when it was a bit cold previous night, I tried my best to shush it away. I looked underneath my car, and was so relieved when I saw no kitten underneath it anymore, or so I thought.

As usual, it took me about 40 to 45 minutes to reach my office. Once I shut down the engine and took my handbag, suddenly I heard another mewling

I've noticed that some of our active members are so tired of unpleasant things or members here and even considering leaving MyEC, or rather, some of them may have found MyEC was not so good a place to stay put and already left. That's so bad for MyEC itself and for those who loved and had to leave it - I'm so sorry for that, too.

So many members here find MyEC is one of the best English-leaning places and they may have said to themselves that "MyEC is just the site I've been trying to look for."

The English Language is like a vast ocean.  It isn't uniform, and it contains a lot of variety with many possibilities lurking out of sight, hidden away under its murky waters.  In some places its depth is shallow and easily understood while in other areas it may go very deep indeed - deeper than even experienced ocean voyagers may realize.

As you are fishing in its depths where you are, you may not catch every possibility.  The rule you have reeled in may not be uniform; it may have some snags a

Thank you for Vanessa for triggering about "Post-its" Notes.

Before I tell you my story, you need to know that a "crown wheel and pinion" is a piece of equipment from a motor vehicle's engine (see image at left). A "Crown Law opinion" is a legal opinion from the Crown Law Department. I worked at the Traffic Accident Investigation Squad where we often sought crown law opinions about cases.
