Researchers in Germany had men look at photographs of people’s eyes and attempt to identify the emotions being expressed. When the eyes in the image were those of a woman, the men took longer to answer and were less accurate in their assessments. When men’s brains were scanned during this process, it was found that the part that generates empathy was much more active when viewing the emotions of other men than of women. It appears that men perhaps evolved to be skilled at evaluating the intentions of their rivals, rather than brokering peace at home.

Hi, Bluerose! Well this is actually a nice topic. What women want? Despite of having individual differences, I just wanna give emphasis especially about the equal treatment between women and men thru respect.

I think focus on the tow >>>>>>> but, I think women can cheat men at all .
Being able to hear womens thoughts, won't make me able to understand them. Even being able to read their mind won't guarantee that I will understand them. It is easier to understand a person when you know all about him/her, but because I'm still not him/her it doesn't guarantee that I automatically understand him/her, because I'm not her or him.
It's not that amusing to listen something like: "Kyaaa that kitty is so cute, I so want to pat and care it. but I restrain my self.."
Or something like this: "Nice shoes, I wonder where did she bought them. They are exactly what I was looking for, I wonder if they have color variations for them. They will suit well with that skirt I saw in that other store earlier.. But I have already spent too much this week.. Hmmm what I'm gonna do. Well I will see if that skirt is still there tomorrow then maybe I'm gonna still buy it."
Or maybe something like: "Free at last. ughh how tired I am. Didn't realize before end of work. Gonna go to straight home and sleep. What a dirty starry cat.. Eww! why it have to come to my way? Just ignore it. Ignore it, Ignore it.. I hate people who take pets and then kick them out when they are getting old and are not cute.. Wahh! This cat is sure sick with germs too. Just ignore it!.. Like I didn't had already enough hard day at work... I'm so tired, when I get home, I should take a hot bath before bed.. But.."
Well, of course those of my assumptions for the women thoughts, are bit of coming from generalization and from reading manga, or smth. But I'm sure, there's a big chance that amongst of all other thoughts that many women think. There's big chance that I could hear something similar to those, when staying at somewhere on busy city street and trying to listen passing womens thoughts.
Anyways. I don't think womens thought them selves, could differ so much from the thoughts of men. Well The housewife's thoughts are of course different from thoughts of businessman. But that's not because different gender.
What differs between woman and man is probably rather how they react for different stimulus. What seems important to them.. What decisions they do in different situations.. Because they see things different the decisions may be also different. Or something like that.
So basically, if I were able to read womans minds, hear their thoughts. Then to me it would look like womans head is full of useless chatter that I don't understand. Because the things, that are important for me are not important to them and vice versa. ^_^

i don't agree with all what you have written because there are other factors that affect mans judgement . man understands man better because they share more things than with woman. Each sex has something different which makes them different and difficult to understand by the other.
concerning the long time that takes man to judge the woman depends on more than the sex beauty attractiveness clearness of the emotions all affect judgement whether done by man or woman

I respect your point of view but still spin a vicious cycle , and Society puts man's source of power, but he can be a person who understands women :)
Reading womens minds? Being forced to hear their thoughts? Just thinking about it, is horrifying. Maybe I would have to kill my self to escape from that situation?
