Essay is a short piece of writing. Argumentative writing is different from narrative writing, descriptive writing or expository writing. Argumentative writing can be so useful, not only in taking an English test such as TOEFL, but also in sharpening your writing skills. Writing or composing an argumentative essay can be so challenging, though.

First, you need to know what an argumentative or persuas

Sometimes It's Not What It Seems

My family loves cats. As far as I can remember, we always have cats in the house. No matter how annoying they can be sometimes, but they always chose our house to be their sanctuary. I guess we are just born lucky to be picked by them.

So it really bums me when I noticed that I'm allergic to cats, well to all furry animals actually (and I always say in the main chat room, to all furry animals and hairy men). But that doesn't stop me from admiring and loving cats in general.

So when I came back to

Delicious dishes really add flavour to holidays, or rather, no holiday is complete without enjoying the mouth-watering food. Food is part of holidays.

I'm not really a foodie, but I do cook and enjoy food, especially during the holiday season. It's said that you'll enjoy eating what you usually ate when you were a child. I entirely agree with that. I'll cook what I usually ate when I was young. One of my favorites is this dish: Lotus-root Sandwich (I'm not sure it's the proper English name for th

My Bangkok Excursion - Day 3

This is the continuation of my previous blogs of the same title.

1. My Bangkok Excursion - Day 1

2. My Bangkok Excursion - Day 2

My second day, well technically my third day, started very early. My friend had no choice but to be up very early because we had to be at the hotel lobby at 7.00 am for the trip to the Floating Market. We were told that the trip to the Floating Market was going to take only about 1 and 1/2 hour, but, honestly, I believed it was more than than.

It was an interesting road tr

Winter & Snow: How does it feel?

Winter is here and I feel once more again like a little girl because snow has without doubt mysterious impact on me.

Everytime when I see the snowflakes falling down lazily, something magical wakes up inside of me.

I even don't know what exactly it is, be it the excitement or the happines, I just know that the Queen Winter has decided to visit my place this year.

There are so many breathtaking moments starting with watching the landscape covered with snow and ending with admiring the paintings draw

My Bangkok Excursion - Day 1

This blog is dedicated to Afro, who asked me whether I'm going to write a blog about my visit to Bangkok. And to Crocodil3, just because. LOL.

Finally, after tossing ideas back and forth, and after so much conversations and text messages, my friend and I decided to go to Bangkok. We decided it's going to be a short trip, from 11 - 15 December 2014. I've been to Bangkok before, but that was centuries ago. So, though it's not something totally alien to be, but I know there would major changes. I kn

In a few hours, well I am being too lateral, it is more like 1 day and a few hours more, I am going to say goodbye to 2014, for some of you, it maybe for another 2 days. I will be looking back my year 2014 with some bitter sweet memories. Some maybe will haunt me for years to come.

Happy Holidays! If you haven't seen me around MyEC for a few days, it's because I've been busy baking, cooking, eating, and celebrating the holidays with my family and friends. One of the best things about holiday time is enjoying delicious food that we only make once a year. This month, let's teach each other how to make a dish, dessert, or snack that we enjoy on special occasions. If enough members join this challenge, I'll make a recipe eBook or slideshow out of our collection!

My Christmas (including my own pictures)

I love Christmas time, the magic atmosphere, which makes us stop for a while and enjoy these awesome days full of love, peace and happiness. In my country Christmas is lately something I would say more related to the traditions than to the religion.

Everything starts at the beginning of November but usually in December the real Christmas shopping fever controls almost everyone. The malls turn into the places with colorful decoration, lights blink in every corner and meanwhile you do the shopping

My New Obsession

When I was chatting with an EC member a few days ago, I talked about my new hobby. He said why didn't I write a blog about it. So, here we go! This blog is dedicated to Crocodil3 who asked me to write about it. To Allen with whom I spent many chat hours talking about my new hobby.

I never thought that I would be obsessed with roses, though I have to admit that they are really wonderful flowers. You see, I thought caring for them are hard. Roses look like fragile flowers which need to be cuddled a

How could we do our hair?

Okay, let me ask you what do you like most among long,  short and medium hair cut? Mine is short, I always prefer short hair cut. But, one thing is sure, no one likes to have untrimmed hair, right?

Most of the time, I like to let my hair down and hate to make a part. I just use a little clip in my back side not to get any part. Sometimes I tie my hair with a ribbon to make a pony tail in the back side. When I was a girl, I made two pony tails. And, when I get a bit long hair, I do my hair in a bu

Labuan - The Pearl Of Borneo

I'm re-posting this blog because I finally managed to up-load some more photos. Phew! Finally!

A few weeks back, I took my Mom to Labuan to visit my brother and his family who are staying there currently. My brother and his family lives in Labuan and will be moving back to West Malaysia at the end of the year. Thus, it's like killing two birds with one stone. I've been to Labuan, a few century ago, but never really had the opportunity to explore the island.

Labuan is also known as The Pearl of Bor
