The King and The Prisoner

Hi all, I just can't let myself being absent at the last seconds of this wonderful challenge. You're so amazing, friends. This is the 582nd blog of June Blogathon.

Here is just about a puzzle question. But it was very hard question for me to answer, so I remembered it a lot.

There is a king and a prisoner. The prisoner is no other Hercules. He is sentenced to death. At this time, he is in a jail which has two gates with a guard on each gate. One of the gate is the door toward the forest, let's na

The good thing about blogging in a community is that your blog will not merely be words on the pages of a website but through the reciprocal actions of the community it will be transformed into a dynamic platform alive with interaction, learning and most of human connection.

So This blog I make now is an invitation to interact with me through "Snapshot Stories"  Post a snapshot from your life and tell us the story behind the picture.  Here's mine:

It's my second entry to June Blogathon!

This month is of a great significance in my life as, I have learned so many new things only in 1 month. Like other active bloggers, I wanted to become one of them. But, in spite of having a wish I couldn't cope up with my mind/ situation and dropped the idea to blog.

However, I got motivated and convinced myself to write at least a blog. And, there you go, here I am writing a blog. I shouldn't have forgotten the proverb " Better late than never".

I really en

EXCELLENCE CAN BE CULTIVATED.

There is no doubt that a child is born with some instincts, inherited qualities and abilities hidden in him or her character. A child when born is like a blank page. What he would become depends what and how he learns and made to learn during his growth. It is, therefore, the responsibility of the parents and teachers to pass on the knowledge and wisdom in the new generation. If it is done in proper manner then there is no doubt that an able and useful generation cam

Then, what's an idiom? An idiom is a group of words whose meaning is different from the meaning of the individual words.

There are a large number of idioms in English. Some of them are used more often than others. It can be a good idea to use some idioms in your writing. Sometimes only an idiom can convey what you really want to say, especially when you're desperate to hit the nail on the head

Idioms with 'wall' are just such useful idioms, such as 'drive/send somebody up the wall', 'climb the

Every blog counts

You may have noticed that so many blogs have been published this month. Yes, we're trying to break a record - 580 blogs a month.

Our real goal is not just to break the record, though. We're challenge ourselves to write as many blogs as possible. It makes sense since we need more writing practice if we really want to improve. Such an intensive writing training can be so useful in sharpening our writing skills.

Yes, there are already a lot of blogs for the blogging challenge, which doesn't really

I've published 23 blogs this month. I promised to publish at least two blogs when I first left a comment on Tara's June blogging challenge - I never thought I could publish so many blogs in a month.

Yes, it's the challenge that has inspired me to write so many blogs. Maybe everyone needs to be inspired or encouraged to make a difference. I still remember it was Josef, the founder, who invited me to join MyEC, and it's Tara, our admin, who has motivated me to try my best to help make MyEC a pleas

Yes, It may sound as if we were cramming for an English test. We're trying to cram all of that in such a short peroid of time.

We've been so busy reading, writing like there's no tomorrow.  Never before has a month seen so many blogs published for a writing challenge. No wonder you may ask 'What are you doing here, guys?'

It may not just sound like an intensive training - it's actually one. We've learned a lot and improved so much both in writing and in reading, which proves that there's no such

Some Questions about Blogging

I like to ask my EC members some questions about blogging, there is no need to reply to all the questions, just one answer or your comment on the blog is sufficient. Your answers are appreciated.

1. How many blogs did you post during June?

2. Can you guess that who will win Blogathon?

3. What do you think about this: A person who is not interested in

blogging in her/his mother tongue, she/he can’t blog in English?

4. What is your recommendation for an untalented blogg

There are only a few days to go until the deadline. While we're sprinting to the finish line, some of our active members are still absent from this month's writing challenge, which is also dubbed as 'June Blogathon'.

We're bound to break the record (be it 460 or 580 blogs a month), statistically or actually. It is, however, a pity that some of our active members have failed to publish a blog for this month's blogging challenge. They may regret it when it's too late for them to post a blog for the

It is said to imply with paucity in knowledge is dangerous.

Once there was a doctor.  He had an assistant.  Whenever a patient came to the doctor the assistant used to observe him carefully.    One day the doctor was visiting an ailing friend to check him at his house.  He took the assistant with him.  When he was leaving his friend after checking, the friend asked him whether he can do anything with his camel, which has swallowed a whole melon which stuck in its throat.  “Ok, let me see, what I

Late Introducing

Hellooo,.

How are you everyone? First let me apologize for not doing this when I started to blog here. Many of you may have no idea who I am. Second, I am so grateful for admins and members here for welcoming me, make some correction about my blog, leave a sweet comment and click like on it. So, let me introduce myself.

My user name is Peppo, given by my brother. This is a character from “Gankutsuou”, an anime based on classic France’s novel, his favorite one, “La Conte De Monte Cristo” by Alexand

Yes, it's more likely Expector won't try to correct every mistake in your blog, even though the 'correction' is included in the tags.

Usually, when Expector sees the correction tag, he'll try to make some corrections for the blogger. It's impossible for him to correct all the mistakes in a blog, though. Moreover, some of the mistakes are just miscues or typos. Bloggers, however, could correct those minor mistakes themselves if they try to re-read or re-edit their blog.

In fact, it's inevitable f

Once this month is finished, I think all the EC bloggers should get 'EC Blog Holidays'. Yeah guys, you deserve that!    Some of you are writing like crazy here and I'm getting worried about your health!... But it's Ok! Mary is here to help your brain to take a break! Stop thinking about what's going to be your next topic: relax your mind and just ... look at kittens on the internet!

156 Blogs on EC:

When I joined MyEC in October 2013, I didn't know this site very much, neither I was acquainted with any member, but since this type of site is not new for me, because prior to EC I joined another site of English learning, that site was also offering lessons for the learner, and there was no limitation to one language all the other major languages were also offered for the learners including Urdu, Arabic, and Farsi, but however, English also dominated there. There was another opt

Don't Get Hurt

Is there anyone who never gets hurt? I’m sure that all of you ever get hurt. That could happen when you feel lonely, when you hate someone, when someone says painful words, when everyone disagrees with you, when you feel failed, etc. How do you usually overcome all of those conditions? Well, I think some of you are expert in this matter.

Will you let your heart surrender? Means let your heart gets hurt. I hope not. When you get hurt, it means you let yourself hurt. A wise man said, “No one can hu

I am 150

I am 150!. I want to shout it from the top of my office, but I don't want to be called crazy. I always thought nothing can stop me from writing once I've been bitten by the writing bug. But, alas! Life is not a fairy tale, nor do I a story teller that I have to write as if my life dependent on it. How I wish I can be as active as before, and able to write whether and whenever I wish to do it.

I know I should stop whining, but hey, this is the only outlet where I can whine about it. LOL.

What To Do?

Thanks my dear sister Evangelina who put a valuable message in my inbox. Okay, I will write something which come out suddenly from my thought.

I see everyone's busy helping our dear blog mod to break the record which a few days left. I didn't run out of ideas to write but sometimes my mood, my energy didn't support me to do it. So I choose to be a commentator only. Along with this commentator term, I found out that some blogs were having same ideas, same point of views and sometimes they had sa

Learning of English

The main goal is fluency. Remember that you don't have to know many complex grammatical structures to achieve that goal. First of all try to speak as fluent as possible (even making some grammar mistakes). Then, after making  speaking fluent, you can focus on grammar aspects.

Many people think that knowing a lot of words is a key to fluent speaking. It's true. However, there are many people who have wide idiolect and problem with fluency. They try to learn more and more words b

Sprint to the finish line

I call this month's blogging challenge  'Blog June', while our admin Tara refers to it as 'June Blogathon'. I'm glad that Tara likens it to a marathon, a race in which people run a distance of 42km.

Does this busy month feel like a long-distance race?  To most of us, this month's intensive writing training may feel as tiring or strenuous as a marathon.

Now, we're running the last lap, and we need to sprint or burst to the finish line. There are still a few days to go before we cross the line, so
