Light Bulb Moments

Light bulb moment is a burst of inspiration.   It is something you get out of a moment which you previously had not realized before.  An occurrence where you feel like saying “Eureka!” because it finally dawns on you the possibilities it can give. Perhaps upon perusal of my adventures, you may yourself examine your personal experience and share your very own “ohhs” and “aahhhs” moments!

Stuck in traffic I was hostage to the tedious ruminations of my dreary mind repeatedly musing on the most munda

An intriguing blog

Some members here keep asking, 'How can I write an intriguing or interesting blog?'

Good question indeed! It makes sense to create a blog which is enchanting or facinating since people enjoy reading them. It's no fun if people don't want to read what you write.

A charming blog is one which is pleasent or attractive yet thoughtful or informative. Sometimes it's just funny, humourous, lighthearted, cheerful, or amusing.

You need to come up with a good idea or topic for such a taking, captivating or

I'm a newbie

Yes, the title 'I'm a newbie' is often seen here. When you see a blog title like this, you know it's the first blog by a new member, or a newcomer.

'I'm a newbie' may mean I'm new or a stranger to MyEC, and if I make some mistakes, don't laugh at me.

In fact, it doesn't matter if you're a newbie, or a rookie. We'll read and even comment on your blog no matter whether you're a novice, or a neophyte. And, you don't need to be sorry for the mistakes since even advanced learners here make mistakes,

My blog posted earlier in response to Expector's challenge has been erroneously deleted so as all the comments made by my dear friends, for which I regret very much.  I am re-posting the same and would request my friends to comment.  I regret very much for the inconvenience caused.
The Tyrant Beloved

She was joyous to torture me by her loving indifference, ignoring me as if I didn’t exist. But I was happy to see her pleased. The affliction caused to me was intoxicating. I was exhilarated rather

The Garden

There comes a time in a man’s life that he begins to be aware of a world his senses cannot read, cannot describe, lacking the ability to grasp its form yet strangely aware that it is there…

Like a man that has traveled through a garden of great beauty then suddenly comes upon an empty open wasteland, a desert that yields nothing to the senses, it strikes him so that he reacts from the blow, and yet a tiny voice so impossibly true whispers “it is there”

In that vast nothingless “it is there” and al

To find the true, genuine and real purpose of life might be for some people boring, tirining or exhausting journey, whereas for others an awesome, super-duper and wonderful opportunity to live life on the maximum with knowing that one day they won't regret. Of course, you all are just humans - people and you make stupid, silly and dull mistakes but to sit scared, frightened and terrified in the corner of the room and wait for the special occasion is just something what only passive and indolant

I hope it will be an interesting, mind blowing, appreciable, jovial, funny, fantastic blog challenge! And, I am really interested, excited, inspired, stirred and touched by it. Though, finding synonyms/same /similar/ alike/equivalent words is not so easy.

But, we must  take an attempt or initiative to find a way out. At least, we should try.

Here, some members are bold enough to face any challenge. They are really smart and capable. In true sense, they are vigorous.

On the contrary, I am a bit timi

Are you ready for another blog challenge? I hope so.

It can be so boring, dull, tedious or dreary to repeat the same words or expressions over and over again in a blog. Your writing can sound so weak or you're driving your readers up the wall if you do so. You could use different words or synonyms or other expressions instead, though.

Your task is to try use as many alternative words or expressions that mean the same thing as possible in a blog.

Your blog may sound just like this:

Expector is an

I fell in love with photography

I fell in love with photography some months ago and as a devoted amateur, who knows nothing but wants everything, I decided to purchase a digital SLR camera to make my dream come true. It took me a lot of effort and energy to persuade my husband, that it is the best investment ever... but eventually believe it or not - I succeeded!

I bought my new love Nikon and started studying about photography. Yes, guys it wasn't as easy as I expected and I had to even understand physics – to be specific opti

A Sweet Little Love Story!!

ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS 'US';

We met, we smiled, we laughed, we shared, we cried, we fought, we loved, we struggled and one day we separated, but our hearts never stopped beating for each other. We struggled, we loved, we fought, we shared, we laughed, we smiled, we met; just became the part of our memory and we cried, but all we could do was sacrifice, compromise on our feelings.

P.S; I wrote this story maybe a few years ago, when I came across a movie (I don't remember the name of the movie I

The lizard suffered a blizzard

Tom and his wife Carol were shovelling snow in the garden.

Last night's blizzard had brought heavy snow and the garden turned into a white wonderland. The couple knew the blizzard was looming the previous day, but they apparently didn't think it could be such an appalling blizzard.

Tom was a gardening buff and was really adept at it. He had the knack of keeping a garden charming and even kept a shack in his backyard to facilitate the gardening. He kept adopting new approaches. In the summer, his l

Nowadays, the pressure to be perfect is such surreal that we put ourselves into insuperable demand of 'perfection'. This is maybe because we are being bombarded with images of 'perfect bodies' by the mass media from when we were young.

I had to admit I am also facing 'body issues' constantly. When I looked into the mirror, instead of looking for the beauty of me, sometimes what I can see is all my imperfections. The wrinkles, the scars, the double chin, the almond shape eyes. the button shape nos

Then Afro was a 12 year-old girl. She was in grade-7. During that time she was a bit introverted, a  bit unsocial, timid, less- spoken. In true sense, a very common figure. Moreover, a lot of people liked to tease her without any reason!

It was not like that she was in-attentive in her studies. But, somehow she did not get better treatment. Sometimes, she cried, sometimes wondered why people behaved in this way?

In addition, in first term exam, unfortunately, she got poor marks in science. She bec

Page 1 - The Prologue

Noas was smiling to herself when she heard the shrieking voices of her nieces, Aish and Qalish. She knew it meant that Jeje was teasing his cousins again. Then she heard her sister-in-law, Jeje's Mom admonished him for teasing his cousins. Laughter was loud. The conversations were fast and it took real skill to understand anything and everything.

The barbecue get together had became few and far between because nowadays everyone was so busy with their own schedules. The monthl

Helen opened the book, and started to read. She loved reading, it always made her forget about herself and move to another reality, not always a perfect one but a reality where she was just a watcher and she didn’t need to act. It made her feel safe and relaxed; she could spend some hours like that.

As she was reading, her thoughts were overwhelming and every day she would write down something: a phrase to describe each day. It was like a diary, but no one could understand it, only wonder.

 Let’s

For some people boring, rainy Thursday but for Luci, it wasn't an ordinary day, in fact … it was her last day. Two months ago she celebrated her 81st birthday lonely among the people she didn't know at all. Yes, new environment gave her unbearable stress. Why? The Psychiatric clinic she found herself in four months ago, wasn't simply a place she imagined spending her last days or months of life. Why did they do it? Who was responsible for it? She was hopeless, empty and confused.

In some months L
