For the first time ever, the 'Oxford Dictionaries Word of the Year' is not a word... but an emoji! How weird is that??    And the award goes for one particular emoji: the 'Face with Tears of Joy'!  As you can see, it's very happy for this:

The Oxford Dictionaries' blog says that this emoji was chosen as "the 'word' that best reflected the ethos, mood, and preoccupations of 2015"  (more info here)
I feel that the Oxford Dictionaries guys are being kind of sarcastic here. Looking around us, I can'

WHY DO YOU NEED COURAGE?

Good evening, everyone.

This is my blog #50. A small anniversary for me and my fingers. So I want to dedicate it to one question - "Why do you need courage"?

nenudi.net_000013.jpg

Before we find the best answer on this question let's ask additional questions:

- Do you need courage to fight for your freedom?

- Do you need courage to survive in a modern society?

- Do you need courage to have arguments about your salary with your boss?

- Do you need courage to wear a mini - skirt?

- Do you need courage to upload your photo

Have you also noticed a new trend of this hectic era? Why to spend time outside in the nature? People lost their minds and prefer hanging around at the malls on the weekends. You can see the teenagers, families with the kids, or single ladies. I doubt, if there exists a word for this special human kind (maybe shopaholic but I find it a bit different). My word might be rude because it is a mixture of the words Mall and Idiot, however I really despise this habbit, so that's why I spiced it up by m

suddencognition ∣noun∣/sʌdnkɔg’niʃən/

You use this word to describe a case: when you suddenly realize something after you have tried to get it for a long time. For example, you've learned English since you were little, but not until recently did you begin to know how to use English 'tenses' correctly. Another example: when you suddenly realized what life you really need to live.

Example sentence: It's wonderful to have the feeling of suddencognition

Writing Challenge: Invent a Word

2347153432?profile=originalHave you ever tried to think of a word for something, and then realized no perfect word existed? This happened to me today! I realized that I am not currently reading a book that I am really into. When I am reading a book that I am really excited about, I have a special feeling or glow, even when I'm not reading it. One man described it as being in book love. Does that make sense to you? I'm not in book love right now, so something feels missing.

This thought made me think of those great lists of

Try to express yourself clearly

Are you sure you can express yourself clearly, so that everybody would understand your points? Don't you think time to time you tend to underestimate the power of own words, that may be a bit confusing to other readers? I guess, these might be for some of you pretty annoying questions but lately I realized it is very important to make sense and to express the things properly. So.. here I go with my blog dedicated to this topic.

To write a sentence, no matter if it is blogging, a love letter or

If I had Wings!

I have just come from my office, and that travelling in public bus (in my city) is really horrible.  This one hour travelling gives me fatigue double than the tiredness of the entire day work.  So as also happened today.  The bus was jam packed, all the people were sweating (even we have winter, but it is not cold).  I was having pushups and down in the bus by the moving passengers and the conductor.  My dress keeps its tidiness the entire day of work, but after I got down the bus, it all goes w

Be careful about what you eat

The World Health Organization (WHO) just announced that eating processed meat or even red meat could cause cancer.

Appalling or unbelievable? Or, it's not such a concern for you, and you'll just ignore it and keep eating whatever you want to eat  - especially if you are from an area where food shortage is such a problem.

It seems we eat some such meat every day, should it be ham, sausage, or bacon. What if we're warned not to eat any of them? Should all the products be removed from the shelf? An

Beyond the mirror

It was a mysterious, cold midnight and she was standing in front of her mirror, watching herself and wondering, who of them is real, if that one silhouette in the mirror or her physical existence in front of it. Suddenly, this person in the mirror turned around and gave her gesture to follow her, which she found exciting and tempting, so she took her chance and disappeared within one second completely from this world.

Why do you think it's scary?

People do fear something, should it be dangerous animals, the ghost, blood, darkness, loneliness, or disasters.

In fact, we've learned to be fearful of such things. A bullfighter once said that fear was his best friend. That makes sense, though, since you have to be very careful when you're trying to conquer the bull in a bullfight.

That's to say, being fearful or afraid of something is human. You're not alone in feeling that - just admit it. Try to face the fear and protect you from being hur

Once, late in the night, I was walking in the park to catch some fresh air before going to bed, there was nobody around…then, suddenly I noticed that SOMETHING was following me – when I walked faster, it speeded up, when I slowed down, it slowed down…fear gripped my faint heart.

When I walked up to the park lamp post IT disappeared, then I ralised that it was my own shadow cast by the park lantern.

VENDETTA
