Ashura

Ashura means the tenth of Muharram; the Arabic month that comes after the month of Hajj in the Arabic lunar calendar. Today is 10/10/2016 which corresponds to 09/1/1438. What is the story behind this day? When prophet Mohammad (peace and  blessings of Allah be upon him) came to Medina he found the Jewish fasting on this day. He told them what was that day and they explained that they did this to thank God because the Israelites were freed from Pharaoh, the king of Egypt at that time, on that day

Writing challenge: My funny story

While sitting under the palm tree, enjoying nice atmosphere...suddenly something hit my head! Firstly I thought it was some coconut but oh my goshhhhh... it was used diaper! Mom of a baby wasn't good at aiming because the bin was just one meter behind me... and guess what??!! Instead of something like: "Oooops, I am sorry..." she just got lost. When I raised my head full of excrements, which had to look cool in combination with my red lipstick, suddenly a jogging guy stopped in front of me, star

Please give me that sunshine to keep me warm,

The sweet morning breeze that makes everybody calm,

Tranquil horizon that engulfed each detail of Majesty;

Clouds that gives mesmerizing sight of that sky blue royalty

Chirping birds amidst every branch, singing hymns melodically,

Let me see the bees bugging around that beautiful thing so flowery,

overwhelming scenery that subdues my heart, struck my soul;

walk with me, blow some wind under my feet's sole

Move my hair with grace of serenity, fly my strands

I'd been trying to figure out how people can respect someone's personal space? Then I thought to write a few suggestions on how to regard someones' personal space.

Suggestions:

  • If someone is having a conversation on a phone call, one must not interrogate about what he is talking to the other person.
  • If someone is at work, one must not interrupt him by addressing or asking him for help.
  • One should try to give a person his area of freedom for everything by not interfering in his affairs.
  • If a p

Get you some time!

Yes, there are many people who usually tend to be more active than others. They love their jobs, ready to get more responsibilities and enjoy their busy life! Needless to say, they achieve many goals in their lives. Even some of them feel better when they have much more responsibilities. But, is it so good?
In real life, I know some people who always think about their work places. It seems, they are on duties all time. But, I have found their life style is not that much healthy. Actually, at fir

A few month ago, I posted a blog on some rare historical photos, not that famous, though. Nonetheless, controversial.

I'd like to share some more. Some of these pics made me start a journey to find the fountain of youth. Stat. Ever heard of ''Take a picture. It'll last longer.''? As cynical and revoltingly harsh as it may seem; it's true. So without any further ado; let's take a look, shall we?

Aloha lovely and curious EC people who are reading this! ^_^

I don't know how many of you like to read stuff about Geology, Geography, the History of Earth or Science in general. I don't know much about anything, but I love to learn and I'm a very curious cat!

I guess you all know that, in the early Jurassic times, the Earth continents weren't divided. The Earth just had 1 huge continent called: The Pangaea (I love this name btw) and it was surrounded by a super ocean called Panthalassa (I love th

Who Is to blame?

“Dad, may I hang out with my friend?” begged Rasha.

“No, you can’t!” her father answered.

She asked, “Why?”

“You stay home!”, said her Dad firmly without any explanations.

This 16 years old girl still wanted to persuade her parents “Mom, please let me hang out with my friend!”

“No, dear, you’d better stay home!” her beautiful mom replied.

“C’mon, Dad….! It will not be long”

She started to feel annoyed and argue with her parents. “I will just go for a while, why should I just stay home? It’s not fair.

Sometime we care for someone, admire their presence, trust them.

Sometime we feel  weakness in front of someone,

Because We really cherish them.

Their each and every action really effect us,

But Sometime they hurt us by Expecting more then our strength, ability and potential..

But we always try to make them happy.

Sometime we are not getting our self,

What we want from them, because we are not fulfilling their all wishes.

We just try to make them Happy in Our own way,

That's all make us sad at the End....

Once upon a time...

After reading bedtime stories for my flu-ridden nephew for THREE hours, nonstop, I might add, I started to think about these useful tools that really come in handy for parents to control some sugar-fueled critters known as "kids" since well, the dawn of time, I guess:

-Be good Tommy, or else...

-Or else what, Mommy?

-No bedtime story tonight.

-Okay.

-For the love of... go to bed, sweetie.

-Read me a story and I'll be the princess, okay?

-Yes, yes. Oh, thank God!

Yup. Even our

Yes, it's a common mistake to link two independent clauses with a comma. That is called 'comma splice' or 'comma fault'.

You can use a period/full stop, a semicolon, or a comma with a coordinating conjunction to connect two independent clauses:

(comma splice/fault) "I went for a walk, she cooked a meal."

(correct) "I went for a walk. She cooked a meal."

(correct) "I went for a walk; she cooked a meal."

(correct) "I went for a walk, and she cooked a meal."

(correct) "When I went for a walk, she cooked

What do you do?

Today I came up to ask you a question! And, the question is how do you manage your emotions especially when you are upset? I have found, I usually get upset, sometimes just for a trivial matter! What a pity! Though finally I can manage myself but it hurts me. So, I would like to ask you actually how do you feel in a tough or unusual situation and how do you manage these situations?

Yesterday I was upset and it was not due to for a trivial matter. There was a very reason. And, whole day long I fe
