Dream Dreaming

This is one of the stories I had submitted for Danny's writing challenge : Short story. I post it here after Tanya corrected it so you readers can feel the real thrill. I really glad when she said this is one of the best in her opinion^^

This is a hero

2347324860?profile=originalIt’s so pleasure to post this blog that I awakened my memories about my buddy soldier who sacrificed his life for the country in the war field year 2009. Though I was able to spend more time at your cemetery last year, I will be unable to do the same this year as I’m not in the country for attending your seventh commemoration. So that, I post this for you with my salute!

My memory goes to the Jaffna camp where I completed my basic military course year 2004. I met Andrew while I was training the

He Was From Other Species:

It is on the motivation of Danny's New Writing Challenge: "a Short Story"

He Was From Other Species:

He was my roommate.  His name was Abdul Samad.  He was very intelligent as well as handsome. He had a very charming personality.  He didn’t have many friends,  We sat together in the classroom, we had our meals together and we studied together.  He was the only one who always tried to argue, raise questions in the classroom, even outside.  One day we were studying in our room.   All at once the dar

Winnie-the-Pooh

2347326477?profile=original

In August 1914 Lt.Harry Colebourn purchased a young bear cub for $20 at a train stop in Ontario, Canada. Colebourn named the bear ‘Winnipeg’ Winnie’ for short, after his home city of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Colebourn brought Winnie to England. Before leaving for France Colebourn left Winnie at the ‘London Zoo’. Winnie was one of the attraction in London Zoo. Winne was much loved for her playfulness and gentleness and she was fed honey through out day many times.

As time goes by, as the days come and go

Lord, You gave strength and courage, to keep us going on

You took away our sorrows, and ease us in our pains

You gave us joy to face the lonely days

Lord we give thanks to You

Lord, we give You praise and honor

Use our hearts and souls forevermore

For the glory and honor of Your name

When skies are gray Lord You stood by our side

Your unselfish love has taught us and made our eyes for see

Our Lord we felt your presence when no one seems to care

You gave us hope, Oh

Whispering Voice

It was fullmoon. Kate woke up in the middle of the night and felt a bit thirsty. She went to the kitchen and took a glass of water. Suddenly... she heard something. Firstly, she thought she was wrong but no, noo.. she heard it again. It was some whispering voice but she had no idea, where it was coming from. She was so scared that it took her some time to focus and realize that this whispering voice is in fact her own voice calling her name! Scared to death she was slowly following it when all o

Stories stimulate conversations with their children more effectively than permanent notation and attempts to talk. With your children there is a lot of events in our day, and similar stories allow them to think about it more understandable way. In a society in which family values are not the first in importance, it is vital to find ways to connect children with all of your family members.

One of the best ways to prepare children for modern life is the story of real-life situations that will stim

We are unavoidably in a fast-growing world. More and more we observe that new cities are expanding their limits beyond previously planned. In its turn, new buidings are "lifted" by engineers almost overnight and the old ones are knocked down in seconds. But, if we stop to think about that "crazy" movement of our society in search of economic progress, we can notice that when demolishing an old building we may be destroying historical memories at the same time.

As any other historical element, old

Yes, 'no doubt' ('probably') means you assume that something is true or likely to happen - it sounds like 'I suppose', for example, 'No doubt Expector will give us another blog challenge soon.'

If you want to say something is certainly or definitely true, you use 'there is no doubt that'. You can say 'There is no doubt that your English has improved.'

You can also use 'without (any) doubt' ('absoulately certain') to emphasize that something is true, for example, 'MyEC is without doubt the best En

Two years ago an insurrection took place in my country . The former president Blaise Compaore wanted to modify the constitution so that to stay in power until his death. That is to ignore our courage. As a single man , we stood up and obliged him to resign and leave the country . Lot of people died during this uprising. We are still waiting justice for our martyrs so that they rest in peace. We really discovered the dark side of compaore system after his departure.

The Sibyl of Cumae

Sibyl was a hauntingly beautiful girl from Cumae. She asked gods for as many years of life as grains of sand she could squeeze into her hand, but she forgot to ask for eternal life as well as eternal youth.

Gods granted her wish. The youthful days have passed and in came the excruciatingly painful years when she aged horrendously. Her pearly white teeth fell out;  her face was riddled by wrinkles. Her bones were dissolved and little by little, she became the size of a shriveled finger. Due to her
