Hello Everyone,
I'm not very choosy when it comes to write. My EC have given us a great platform to improve our English. I remember I took so much time to write my 1st Blog.
It was about EC members, I dedicated that blog to some of my good friends in EC. I made so many friends in EC from different countries. It was a great experience.
I may not be good in writing but trust me I'm much better than before.
My friends helped me improving my English, we used to have conference calls on Skype. First time
A tweet of a mayor in Japan generated argument on gender segregation. He tweeted that "Is this a gender segregation opinion that I don't want male nursery staff to help my daughter change clothes?". I think her daughter is a little child who is around 3~6 years old. He said they sometimes switched to female nursery staff to help female babies change clothes because of complaints like this.
There are various comments about this. For example, "It is reasonable for a female to be uneasy about male
Yes, you say 'as was expected', 'as follows' or 'as is well known' - not 'as it was expected' or 'as it follows' or 'as it is well known'.
You shouldn't add the pronoun 'it' after the 'as', because 'as' acts as the subject - you don't need another subject 'it'. For example, you can say 'Expector will add another comment on the blog today, as happened yesterday."
The word 'as' can also act as an objective or complement, for example, "MyEC members keep writing blogs, as they did last year."

Yes, it may have something to do with pronunciation if you find it hard to memorize a word or understand what they're saying or said on the radio or TV.
Some words are so hard to pronounce, though. It helps if you have learned how to pronounce a word by the International Phonetic Alphabet or Smart Phonics, but it doesn't work when you're trying to pronounce a word which is derived from Latin or Greek or other non-English languages. How about some of the names of people, places, microbes, plants,

There was a man and his name was John. He was 30 years old at that time of my story.
I am sure, if COUCH POTETO or MOUSE POTETO were professions, John would have had been one of the people with one of that kind of professions. John has lived in a big house. He has left the house very seldom. He wasn't that communicative, what means he wasn't a DEIPNOSOPHIST.
John has loved his big house with air condition inside and a TRANSOM outside.

This morning, while going through the news on BBC, I came across an interesting article written by David Robson dealing with "foreign" words used to describe emotional feelings in a research project carried out by Tim Lomas.
The below posted entry is a resume of a long article in a form of passages randomly selected to my whim and fancy.
Lomas’s Positive Lexicography Project aims to capture the many flavours of good feelings (some of which are distinctly bittersweet) found across the world
Well, January is coming to the end and this month we have guessed many interesting and funny words playing Jeopardy. Looking through them makes me laugh as I already "see" a few funny stories and verses I can write. So, I propose you to do the same. Please, write a funny story or a funny poem using some of these words. I will correct the stories, so they must be within 200-250 word limit.
Here is our vocabulary:

Hi, my friends! As the rainy weather spoiled all our plans for today, I will go on teaching you a little.
Well, looking through your answers on the previous grammar tests, I noticed that some of you are not sure whether to use IT IS or THERE IS in this or that sentence. It is windy.
