It was We who Sold our Own Liberty

Liberty is supreme and priceless, is the feature of life in heaven and shows the level of a LIFE. The more liberty, the more heavenly; the less the liberty, the more hellish.

Liberty, love! For my love I will sacrifice life,

There two I need, For liberty I will sacrifice my love.

I wrote this poem a few years ago.  It is a sad one and it is about love.  I hope you enjoy it.

I Sent It On Sent It On The Wind

Just before I wake up
In that place that we all know
I find that I am with you...
Before the sunlight shares her glow
With your arms around me
Your chin upon my hair
I was thinking how contented
I seemed while I am there

I hear your gentle whisper
As you nibble on my ear
I will always love you
I want to make that clear

I turn up close against you
And look upon your face

Many years ago, when i was young, me and my big brother, we spent every summer in the village with our granny.2347448572?profile=original

This is a beautifull place, where i can do everything i want (really everything). In that time we hated this village... because sometimes there was no another kids to play with and we were angry about it...

During that time we were helping our granny with household. That household inclooded many works like: to feed the goats in forest, to make supplies for goats for the winter,

I have to say I was so impressed by Luci's Challenge!!!  What a good idea.  I read some of the best stories by member's answering this challenge.  Some of us are trying our best to think of good, and interesting challenges for the near future.  No one wants to see this part of EC go down due to lack of interest.  Reading and writing are two of the most important tools we have when it comes to learning English.  Each blog is such an important part of this site.  We all have things to say.  We all

Yes, a smartphone is a mobile phone that can be used as a small computer.

A smartphone that connects to the Internet can be so versatile that you don't really need a desktop or laptop. It seems eveybody here in China has such a smartphone - they read, watch or write on their phone whenever they have leisure or spare time, whether on the underground or metro, or in the line or queue, or even walking.

That is to say, they have spent so much time learning or playing on their phone. They no longer us

First, we don’t oppose people to celebrate festivals they love, that are their freedom and choice.

Festival has eight implications: congratulation and celebration, reunion, praying for good fortune, gratitude, offering sacrifice and holding memorial ceremony, praising, purifying and gathering people’s hearts and keeping going.

well, It would be easier  if I knew who you are going to talk to and why they have to  listen to you! But, of course, there are some general rules to make people listen to you...lol. And, here I am going to tell you  exactly what I do at my work place.

1. Be respectful specially if they are elder/aged people. Even it is also applicable/appreciable if/when we work with our juniors! Never try to make them down!

2. Be patience more than  you are. A smiling face always works! Though all time we can no

Stay in the company of the righteous and you shall become righteous, but keep in the company of wolves and you will learn to howl. Hang out in an orchid and yours will be the aroma of flowers, but stay in a store of abalone and you will exude a putrid odor. With saints, you will get a clear and bright mind, but with thieves, you will become one. It is hard to avoid getting your shoes wet when you walk along a ri

I Pursue No Success

I Pursue No Success

Xuefeng
(Translated by Conglong)

I do what I like to do
I follow my inner voice
Let my nature burst like a fully blossomed flower

If god wants me to be a big tree
I will try to extend my hands to the blue sky
If becoming a wildflower is my destiny
I will do my utmost to show my beauty

I’m a stream, why bother compare with rivers
I’m a little grass, why compete with a peony for beauty
Everything is part of god’s blueprint
No one is noble or humble

Life is just a journey

The Legacy of my Grandmother

2347446621?profile=original

It was a lovely afternoon in January 2010 when I turned my face to search for memorial things that belong to my maternal grandmother. I took leave and I went to my old deceased grandmother's big house to look for her old stuff. I stepped in the abandoned house and I looked around the rooms but there was nothing really interesting , I decided to go to the attic base hoping to find something interesting.
Once I got in, the attic was dark and everything around was covered

I would like to know!

Can anyone tell me when women started using head gears? Am I sounding a bit different today? I hope not but this question has been buzzing into my mind for some days.

So far I know and how I can guess, women around the globe wear it and of course these women belong to different nationalities/races/religions. Here, I would like to mention head gears are not only beautiful scarfs, it can be hat, orna (which is known in Indian-subcontinent), the end part of a sari and yes, here you can add if you ha

Moving to a new apartment about a month ago I decided to look through all the papers and documents kept at my home for many years. There were mostly the death certificates as most of my relatives had passed away. But suddenly I noticed a secret pocket in the folder where I found one unopened envelope yellowed with time. I had never seen it before. It was addressed to me. Sure, I got

The Vast Sea of Bitterness and the Tragic Life

Xuefeng

( Edited by Kaer)

Being born into this world is tantamount to falling into a boundless sea of bitterness. How many ideals come to naught? How many hopes turn into despair? How much frustration? How many tears from the heart run on and on all day long? How much unspeakable bitterness follows us, year after year?

Each year a million people around the world commit suicide and the number who try but fail is too high to count. Why? Because of Life’s

The one thing I have found out about being a moderator is that it is anything but an easy task.  I try to follow the rules as closely as I can while also trying to allow that everyone that enters the chat room has a native language that is not English.  I understand that it is so easy to revert back to one's own language at times and that it is natural.  I understand that sometimes it is a matter of respect for someone to say hello to you or good bye to you in your own language.........and at th
