Well, I remember when I was kid.. and I think Gorbachev was the leader of the USSR. Then there was a lot of talk about these things in tv. and etc. I remember they did show in tv how militia had confiscated the equipment that people had build to make illegal alcohol by them selves. But they were actually praising the cleverness of those inventions.. How do do it. Probably that's why I remember so well.. That the anchorman said clever.. :P
Also now there we have some laws. Like where they can sell strong alcohol and from what time of clock to clock. they can do it and so on... I think stores are not allowed to sell it at night. Only bars and restaurants can serve it to customers.. Otherwise we would have too many problems with drunk drivers and something.. Seems like Estonians tend to drink too much alcohol.. Maybe not so bad as Finnish but.... Well actually I don't know exactly. I don't consume alcohol, so don't know at all.
They did open a alcohol store this year near to me.. something like 500Meters from my house. I was so disappointed. Every supermarket sell that stuff anyways.. That place had previously a specific store of used things.. like recycling. Where u could bring things that u don't need anymore, but don't want to throw away.. But after the building was in fire, it was closed and was in renovation a while. I was really waiting it's reopening. I was secretly wishing, that they would open a bicycle store in there. Since there isn't any bicycle store in my district. But big was my surprise when I saw they had but up the sign Alcohol's Store.. There was also smaller sign "Flowers". So lame! Selling alcohol and flowers in same place. Like: Vodka for man and flowers to his wife that she would forgive him? Well, they actually divided that building to 2 stores, for that alcohol store and for a meat store. But, I've heard the meat is expensive in there.. I think it's all for drunkards anyways.. That drunkards could make some barbecue to go with alcohol.

Yes, you're right - it's a bar. When I took a picture, I did not notice it. I'm in a hurry. I must admit I was not too long thinking about what I photograph. Therefore, in the frame there are young parents with suspicious plastic bottles and beer bar, which is open 24 hours a day.
But it is the most realistic, not production photo! :-)

As for your opinion about the life above a bar - you are right, like always! :-) It's terrible!
Seems like, there's a bar on first floor of this apartments building. The name bar24 probably points that it's open 24 hours day? I would not want to live on top of a bar..
II hope the store beside it won't sell cuckoo clocks.. Then it would be perfect. If the drunkards noise from bar won't wake you up then when all clocks start to cuckoo on each full hours.. everyone would be awake. :P
