specially for you ... a great woman
Good day,
-Nadiyah-
How are you ?
Thank you very much to add me as friend
Regards,
Haitham
We are going to visit my friend's house this weekend and staying at there for 2 days. That house is near mountains and a new golf-court. The name of golf- court is Phoenix. I did not know how to play golf. And this time I will have a chance to find out about it.
I've got a short vacation for 2 days at my friend house, it is in countrysite and 80 km far from my house. I've taken some photos with the pupose of sending to you and other friends.Unfortunately my six years old son has dropped the camera while he played with it.And now it is broken (" Even I love him but sometime I am discouraged ") .Maybe I will show you my photo later.
Today I'd like to ask you some questions about these words: purpose ,to afford, to exhaust.
I take some examples:
-The purpose of this EC website is to hepl people practise English.
-They went to the gold-mine with the purpose of changing their life, but all their efforts was not bringing them the good result.( or can I say: They...life. But all their efforts was to no purpose)??
- It is thought that the final purpose of the war in Iraq in 1990 is oil.
Is this word " purpose" will change meaning if it is combined with some other words? for example: on purpose, in purpose...Ok, could you show me some other ways to use this word and explain the meaning.
The verb" to afford" is familiar with me then I will practise it myself.
To exhaust:
ex:-My car has nearly exhausted of petrol,so I decided to hire a room at the motel.
-She exhausted herself after running 3 rounds of the football station.
- I hope we will exhaust the meaning of obove words.
Dear Nafis, pls check my mistakes and explain more about the meaning of words.
Could you collect some verbs which are often used in the structure " verb + -ing" next time?
I'm not hurry,so I can wait if you no have time.
Thank you so much,
Tuan
