Nafis,
Just a quick note because I need to get to a tutoring session with a student. I did watch the Persepolis video and thought it was fascinating. I love history. I plan to see the Longfellow videos later. A good friend of mine has the complete works of Longfellow and is a great fan of his.
Canadians are great people. I like them a lot. And I think complaining about the weather is a universal "hobby" in all countries. Is it cold in Iran? I like the cold, but then I like the change of the seasons.
You must miss your family in Iran at times. But it sounds like you are on a great adventure living in another country and studying. What are you studying? I know you have a great opportunity to learn English by being immersed in an English-speaking county. Have you experienced much culture shock living in a new country? Wishing you the best.
Before I leave to do some work, I just wanted to ask you how life is in Ontario? Do you plan to be there a long time or are you there temporarily. I have had several Iranian students in my ESOL class. I am learning a lot from them about their culture. I hope they are learning a lot of English from me. :)
I love your positive response to the frigid temperature! I can't say I share your feelings, though. :) I love the warm weather. But as long as there is sunshine I am happy to be inside and am thankful for a warm house. You've inspired me to make myself a tea.

Thanks for the invitation to be a friend. Your videos look interesting. I should take a look at them later when I have more time.
