In/On with Time Expressions

prepositional idioms are tricky in any language. Here are some tips for using in and on with expressions of time. For months, years and long periods like centuries, use in.For days and dates, use on.For precise times use at.Meet me at 8 p.m.The children played at recess. Some common expressions vary the pattern:in the morning, but on Monday morningin the mornings, but on Wednesday morningsin the afternoon but on Sunday afternoonNOTE: Although we say in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening, we say at night. Ex. Milk is delivered in the morning. The stars come out at night. BUT We heard a noise in the night. Some time expressions do not require a preposition:I went to Sicily last May.He’s giving a speech next Friday. My children visit every Thanksgiving. What are you doing this afternoon?Talking about the weekend admits of variation:Do you work weekends?Do you work on the weekend? place for the Seven Female-friends. ( Sateen Jo Aastan)

Sateen Jo Aastan is located on the left bank of the Indus River near Rohri, Sindh, Pakistan.Rohri, also known as Sateen Jo Aastan is the resting place for the Seven Female-friends. According to folklore these female friends resided here. These unmarried female-friends veiled them-selves from all males, a practice called purdah (the practice of preventing men from seeing women), which is also referred to as sattei. But for the fear of a tyrannical raja resulted in their disappearance, possibly in a cave in the side of a hill. Thus they became satti. It is probable that this folklore has its origins in the Hindu ritual of sati, an inhumane ritual where widows burnt themselves or were burnt on their dead husband's pyre.

In reality however, this is the burial place of a ruler from Sukkur , Mir Abu Al-Qasim Namkeen (961 A.H , 993 A.H). The tomb complex was ordered to be built by him. It was constructed in the ochre stone similar to that used in the necroplis of Makli Hill. Inscriptions and Quranic verses in the finest Naskh script adorn the walls and interior of these structures. Rows of hujras (rooms on the ground floor) were constructed for travellers and students. The famous blue tiles of Sindh were used to enhance the aesthetic impact.

"" Sindhi Topi and Ajrak Day"" ... 6th December ...Sindhi is the largest province of Pakistan. It is an agriculture province. on 6th december this festival is declared for by the peolple of sindh because media and news papers said many abusing words about the sindhi culture and their traditions.Culture of Sindh

The culture of Sindh has its roots in the Indus Valley Civilization. Sindh has been shaped by the geography of the largely desert region, the natural resources it had available and the continuous foreign influences. The Indus or Sindhu River that passes through the land, and the Arabian Sea (that defines its borders) also supported the sea-faring traditions among the local people. The local climate also reflects why the Sindhis have the language, folklore, traditions, customs and lifestyle that are so different from the neighbouring regions.

The roots of Sindhi culture and civilization go back to the distant past. Archaeological researches during 19th and 20th centuries showed the roots of social life, religion and culture of the people of the Sindh: their agricultural practices, traditional arts and crafts, customs and tradition and other parts of social life, going back to a ripe and mature Indus valley civilization of the third millennium B.C. Recent researches have traced the Indus valley civilization to even earlier ancestry. Sindhi culture is oldest from all because archaelogist says that this culture belong to the most oldest civilization ( Mohen_jo_dARO) THE FATHER OF ALL CIVILIZATIONS , 5 thousand years old civilization.Sindhi Topi...

Sindhi topi and ajrak have been symbols of the Sindhi culture and civilisation for thousands of years .and all the people of Sindh have an emotional attachment with these cultural symbols.Sindhi Ajrak...

Ajrak is a name given to a unique form of blockprint shawls and tiles found in Sindh, Pakistan. Ajrak is also worn by the Seraiki people of Southern Punjab and Kutch. These shawls display special designs and patterns made using block printing by stamps. Common colours used while making these patterns may include but are not limited to blue, red, black and yellow. Over the years, ajraks have become a symbol of the Sindhi culture and traditions."" A bust of a king priest excavated at Mohenjo-daro shows him draped over one shoulder in a piece of cloth that resembles an ajrak."On this day every person have to wear sindhi Ajrak and Topi.this day is call to nation to ptotect their culture traditions and their identity and i think that everyone should participate in this equally without any difference of cast, color, creed and language. beacuse it's just for to protect our identity , our motherland. and no one have any right to use any words about any culture of the world.............END..............I hope you like it, have a good day and take care..

........... Punctuation Rules: Using a Semicolon......Semicolons are often confusing for people, and I find many mistakes when I edit manuscripts for my editing service, Editor 911. Here are some punctuation rules about the semicolon. The semicolon can be used to join two complete sentences that are related. There could be a conjunction (and, or, but), but there usually isn't. Here is an example of this semicolon rule:My dog loves to go for walks around the neighborhood; we always stop at Mrs. Smith's house for a treat.More complicated punctuation rules exist for the semicolon. One that people may find confusing is using a semicolon instead of a comma when two sentences are joined with a conjunction. You would use a semicolon if one of the sentences contains a comma. The important thing to remember with punctuation is that it is supposed to make it easier for your reader to understand what you are trying to say. Here's an example of this punctuation rule:Lisa went to the store and bought eggs, milk, and bread; but she forgot to buy cereal.Semicolons are also used when you are listing items in a series, and there are commas in the items you are listing. See the following example:My work has been published in God Allows U-Turns, Vol. 4; WOW! Women On Writing; The News-Gazette; and Grit.I used semicolons to punctuate the series of publications instead of commas because there was a comma in the title of the first publication. It may be confusing if I used commas after that, and people may think there is a publication titled, Vol. 4.Punctuation rules can be difficult, but a lot of them are common sense--especially when it comes to semicolon rules. Most of the time, a semicolon is used to make it easier for the reader to comprehend the sentence and not get confused if the writer used commas instead.for more plz visit following liinks:http://www.brighthub.com/hubfolio/margo-l-dill/blog/archive/2009/07/03/punctuation-rules-using-a-semicolon.aspx................END...............I Hope you like it.have a good day , take care and "HAPPY STUDIES'

How You Learn a GOOD ENGLISH........Did you ever ask yourself "How did i learn my own language?" In fact. you never really "Learned" it at all. you just started speaking it.One day, when you were about two or three years old, youstarted speaking your language. A few words at first, not full sentences, But you spoke. Andvery soon you made progress without even thinking about it. It was like magicbut it wasn't magic, It was the result of hearing. for two to three years before you spoke, you heard people speaking your language all day. and may be all night. you heard people speakingyour language. Maybe you listened to people, but more importantly you heard them. Then,as if bymagic, you started to speak. All that hearing was necessary for you to start speaking, For two to three years words went In to your head. Then words come out of your head! That is why hearing (and listening to) English as much as possible is so important to you now. The more English you put in, the more you'll get out!..........................END......................I hope you like it .

..................... Present Perfect Tense AND It's Usage.................................Present Perfect Tense...............We form the present perfect tense by placing "has" or "have" in front of the past participle of the verb.Examples:"The manager HAS ARRANGED a telephone conference.""We HAVE ACCEPTED his invitation to the conference."We use the present perfect tense in two ways: 1)> in continuing action and 2)1). .......Continuing Action.......Use the present perfect tense to show action that has started in the past and is continuing into the present time or has finished at the present time.Example:"I have lived in Jonesville for the past 15 years."For 15 years, I have lived in Jonesville. I still live in Jonesville. There is no reason to believe I will not continue living in Jonesville. So, since the action of living started in the past and is continuing into the present time and maybe into the future, we use the present perfect tense "have lived."2). ....Historical/Research Literature......Suppose we want to include two researched actions in the same sentence. How do we show that one action happened before the other action? Here's an example of this problem.Problem:You are writing a critique of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. You are fascinated by Capulet's immortal "Thank me no thankings, nor, proud me no prouds," and you wish to elaborate the circumstances under which the words were spoken. You have two actions, the antecedent action by Juliet and the subsequent action by Capulet, that must be addressed.Use the present perfect tense for the antecedent action and the present tense for the subsequent action (the action nearer to us in time). We write"After Juliet HAS SAID that she can never be proud of what she hates but is thankful even for hate, Capulet REPLIES, "Thank me no thankings, nor, proud me no prouds."Note: The present perfect tense need not come first in the sentence. We could just as easily have writtenCapulet REPLIES, "Thank me no thankings, nor, proud me no prouds" after Juliet HAS SAID that she can never be proud of what she hates but is thankful even for hate...................END...............I Hope you like it.have a good day a, take care and "HAPPY STUDIES"

We're lucky enough to have a country which is magnificent in terms of its landscape and culture," he said, adding that 90 per cent of French people did their traveling at home."So when they're on holiday they can be a bit stressed, they're not used to things, and this can lead them to be demanding in a way which could be seen as a certain arrogance."French tourists are also accused of generally spending less than other nationalities when abroad.fpr more plz visit following links:
