That awkward moment when someone asks me to present my self and I have nothing to say :p

I posted this idea about ten minutes from now. It seemed that the network was slow. It was about that joke which was said to the animals of the jungle. They all laughed, only the donkey. It remained silent till the next year and then it laughed. Of course, it was laughing alone which made the other animals asking why! Then the answer came, it only understood that joke after one year. Is it true that the donkey is really stupid and does not understand?

Many people may agree that English is a relatively easy language. How about this English sentence: "I love you." ?  Don't you think it is easy to learn or understand? But English may not be that easy as it may seem to be. Even popular "small" words such as "in", "at", "on", or "the" can cause confusion - mistakes related to such small prepositions or articles are not uncommon, not to mention English idioms or phrasal verbs or collocations or the differences between British and American English.

There is often confusion over 'all' and 'all of'. 'All of' should only be used when the next word is apronoun(e.g., us, you, it, him, her).

Examples:

All of us...

All of you...

All of it... 

Do not use 'all of' for normal nouns - just use 'all'.

Examples:

All the soldiers...

All the nurses... 

I need all of the chairs.  (The word 'chairs' is not a pronoun.)

All of the divers returned safely.

We can sometimes use for + ing to talk about the purpose of a thing. When we do, it means the same asto + infinitive.

• What is that for? It is for opening envelopes
• This bell is for calling the waiter.
• This bell is to call the waiter.

 

When we talk about the purpose of somebody's actions, we cannot use for + ing.

• I went there to ask for help.
• You will have to queue a long time. to get tickets.

 

However, it is sometimes possible to use for + noun for this.

• I went there for help.
• You will have to queue a lo
