A short story (part-2)

There was a tension between them though no one wanted to share at all. Otherwise, everything was as usual. They kept talking, sometimes going out to have lunch or evening meal.

Tatiana was very good in her judgement. She was damn sure about the obvious thing. Though, could not say or may be did not want to make it clear.

But, she felt bad and nervous altogether. May be her friend also felt the same, who knew! He was also a good guy and he liked to spend time with her.

One day they were planning to

" INTONATION "

Guys....Im back again :) talking about intonation now :D

Intonation is the raising and falling of the pitch of your voice as you speak.

It is very important for you to realize that native speakers react to intonation. If you use the wrong kind, your listener may misinterpret your intention. They will certainly be confused, and they may even be insulted.

Your intonation, for example, can signify that you are making a statement or that you are asking a question or you have no finished speaking.

= SILENT LETTER =

Hi Guys....

As you know, you cannot always tell how to pronounce an English word from its spelling. Sometimes the same letter represent different  sound, for example :

U in Busy, Burry, Pull, Sun and Rude. Sometimes a letter represent no sound, it is “silent” or not pronounced. Many common words contain silent letters. Some of them are following :

B in debt, doubt, and subtle

D in Wednesday (the first d)

Gh in though, thorough, and through

H in Thai, John, Thomas, Esther, and in hour , honor, and thei

What To Do?

Thanks my dear sister Evangelina who put a valuable message in my inbox. Okay, I will write something which come out suddenly from my thought.

I see everyone's busy helping our dear blog mod to break the record which a few days left. I didn't run out of ideas to write but sometimes my mood, my energy didn't support me to do it. So I choose to be a commentator only. Along with this commentator term, I found out that some blogs were having same ideas, same point of views and sometimes they had sa

USE OF IDIOMS

Yesterday I was as busy as a bee, occupied throughout the day in my office.   I came back completely exhausted and wimpy.  The drag TV programs could not keep me awake for long and I didn’t know when I was zonk out.

I was floating high as a kite in my dream, feeling myself as light as a feather,  then all of a sudden I felt a sudden change in my surrounding, the room was filled with the similar fragrance.

“How are you?” My heart started beating with pleasure, hearing her melodious vo

Sprint to the finish line

I call this month's blogging challenge  'Blog June', while our admin Tara refers to it as 'June Blogathon'. I'm glad that Tara likens it to a marathon, a race in which people run a distance of 42km.

Does this busy month feel like a long-distance race?  To most of us, this month's intensive writing training may feel as tiring or strenuous as a marathon.

Now, we're running the last lap, and we need to sprint or burst to the finish line. There are still a few days to go before we cross the line, so

This is my 20th blog for this month's writing challenge. I never published so many blogs in a month, though.

I'm so pleased that so many bloggers have participated in this month's blogging challenge, and so many blogs have been published this month - I myself have posted 20 blogs, not to mention Mishaikh and Seeker, who have published even more blogs. I'm so pride of you all.

As the blog moderator here, I don't think we published as many blogs in any other month. So, I'm sure we're bound to break

My surrounding

I am sitting in front of my desk in my dark room. In the daylight this room could become so dark because the only light is coming from my laptop’s screen and in the night I turn on the lamp which is hanging under the roof. The large of my room is no more than 2,5 M X 3 M, a half of it occupied by many boxes contain my old books, toys, dolls and stuffs from my childhood. They are well arranged behind me.

There is a bookshelf by my right side, it has 4 piles. The lowest pile is place

Autumn is at the brink, farewelling the summer’s hot days. This week the weather is changing very uncertainly. On Monday, it was cold and cloudy. The girls were wearing hats and had umbrellas. Describing hair style

The woman with long straight black hair is having lunch in a café with a bald man. There is also a couple with them. The girl has short blond hair, yes she does not have long hair while the boy is clean shaved.  I have long curly brown hair, and I feel that my hair is much nicer than that lady.  I do not like short blonde straight hair. Who is bald? Only the guy with the lady is bald.

A business Trip

Last week I went to another city on a business trip. I checked in at the hotel reception. After making all the necessary entries, the receptionist gave the card key of my room. I went to the room, and first thing I did was, I took a shower, then I ordered the room service to bring my lunch into my room, meanwhile I sat on the bed and worked on my laptop. I did not use hotel computer. While having my lunch I also got my working paper ready for the meeting I was going to attend. The

Learning of English

The main goal is fluency. Remember that you don't have to know many complex grammatical structures to achieve that goal. First of all try to speak as fluent as possible (even making some grammar mistakes). Then, after making  speaking fluent, you can focus on grammar aspects.

Many people think that knowing a lot of words is a key to fluent speaking. It's true. However, there are many people who have wide idiolect and problem with fluency. They try to learn more and more words b

Anybody's guess

The idiom 'anybody's guess' means nobody knows.

Do you think it's now anybody's guess how many blogs will have been published by the end of this month? Do you think we can make it

We thought the record was 460 blogs a month, and now we think the record might be 580, which may sound so daunting or so unbelievable. In fact, our admin Tara is trying to make sure we know exactly what the record is. Maybe we have already broken the record, which also is anybody's guess.

We should keep writing, even
