The bottom line is 'love'

This is on the inspiration I got from Alice's Word Play-2 - 'Idioms on the word 'cut'

Sometimes I receive remarks that I always circle around ‘love’, means that the plot of my stories/blogs is always ‘love’ one way or the other.  Of course they don’t intend to cut me down to size, rather they enjoy my writings.  But it is a fact that it is not always easy to cut the mustard.  I do agree with this remark about me, but I do not like to cut myself of the same cloth.  I want to make it my distinction

Word Play 2 : Idioms on "Cut"

If you are determined to cut the mustard as a successful businessman in these cut throat times you have to surround yourself with the best in the business. To be considered as someone cut of the same cloth as the bestsellers of the business world is a clear cut way to advance in the ladder of success.

Never underestimate the power of good relationships, cut through the walls of red tape with a well established circle of allies who will cut you some slack in your shortcomings and insufficiencies.

tourism in Egypt

The adventure that is Egypt never ends! That is why it is a shame if you come to Egypt, especially for the first time, and miss the grandiose sites, such as the Pyramids at Giza Abu Simbel or the west bank of Luxor, to name but a few. There are so many travellers who fly direct to Upper Egypt to see Luxor and Aswan, hoping that they will be stumble across the Pyramids as well, and then they realize that they have to travel 720Km to Cairo , where the Pyramids actually are, and end up paying $400

Thanks for sharing...

It was a regular commuters train. People rushed to their seats because it stopped for three minutes only and after some time the tumult died down. The passengers started to look around. As most of them took that trip quite often, it was of little interest to look out of the window. They knew the sight of every tree there. So they started to cast sideway glances at other passengers. There was a couple that drew everybody's attention. Though nobody stared but most of the passengers watched them fr

Soporific Romance

Muskan gave some words inviting to use them in a story.  Here is my bid to make a short para using these words = nonchalant, coax, placid, whimsical, soporific and rapacious:

I was so nonchalant, took her love so whimsically, and didn’t realize she would turn to be so rapacious and possessive in love that she would not allow me to see or praise any other girl, and put me in public trial to make me realize that I was wrong.  She was so disheartened that even my coaxing could not put her in placid

Ven. Eindobhasa

28-12-2014

Once there lived a poor fisherman with his wife and his mother-in-law in a small village. The fisherman was about 40 year old, and he had no children. He loved his wife so much. Therefore she was not allowed to go out to work. Every day he went to the creek near the village fish.

One evening in winter, he said to his wife, “Dear, now I’m going fishing, and maybe I’ll be late; however, don’t worry about me.”

“OK, dear. Take care please!” said his wife.

Then, carrying fishin

Once upon a time, there was a man in a village. The village was very far from the city. The transportation was very difficult to go to the city.

One day, the man went to the city for his business by boat. He felt so tired and so hungry that he could not resist having some foods, because he had rowed the boat for many hours.

So he, as soon as having arrived in the city, went into a shop very quickly to buy some food to eat. Then he started to look for some food, and he saw

O my heart, O the traveller:

O my heart, O the traveler

It has been commanded once again

 to leave the country

To wander street to street calling and wander city to city to

find the clue
to a messenger

to ask from every stranger

the address of our own home

go to the house of unknown

and make the day to night

talking to this one or that one.

How I tell you what it is
the sadness of night is very bad

I consider it is enough
to be counted in some
Why was it bad to die for me
if it was once.

Translated from Urdu poetry.

He was not a cheat

On breaking of the relationship, you cry nor I,

But why this, that neither you could sleep nor I.

He was the companion of journey of life,

But he was not a friend.

He was not with me but not separated either

It was like the sun and shadow,

It was like animosity and indifference

Whatever he was, but he was not a cheat.

Translated from Urdu poetry.

Why And How Do We Celebrate Eid?

Literally, the month of Ramadan is not only the month of worship but it makes us conscious about living of hungry and deprived people. In this month, we ask Allah for forgiveness by virtue of extra worship. Resultantly, our all sins are forgiven at end we believe so.However, the sins we committed by doing wrong with our relatives, or anyone are not forgiven unless (s)he forgives. It is called Haqoq-ul-Ebad (rights of human). In the whole month, we try to build up the best relation with Allah Alm

Reading about Religion

I can see very often people writing about their beliefs here (muslims mostly) So that 'inspired me' to write this post. Thanks in advance to all these people.

I'm atheist but I'm a very "curious cat" and I like to talk about religion. I've read and heard more than once, the passages about Jesus Christ, Muhammad and Moses. I know the Bible pretty well (my family is Catholic, and I was raised as Catholic when I was a kid), I've also read several lines and passages from the Qur'an and, of course,

I am one year old in EC

A year ago, I have joined EC on July 2014 after four years of hearing about from one of my professors at college;but it was as if fate has its own decision, it makes me  remember it after that four long years of my life that were full of many accidents;some were good , others were not;however, they  were beneficial for me.But, according to fate, nothing happens haphazardly, everything occurs for a certain reason at a certain time and in a certain place too.  I am one years old in EC , but its e

What Sucess is For Me

It's a good and uneasy question to answer at same time. But, let's try to scratch the surface of amplitude the term can lead.

For me, sucess it's not something we can measure through a restricted view. It includes a bunch of topics, situations and circumstances we find every day in our lives.

Sucess depends on several factors at a certain moment of your life. You can't  say you have a sucessful life just because you won a promotion at your workplace. This is just a victory amidst battlefield

The Feeling of Nothingness

Have you ever felt a portion of your life wherein, you feel nothing, invisible and nothing left in your self? I did, I lost an important persons, some friends , and even hacked in some of my emails but I strive hard to recover and prove to myself that little by little I can pick up all the pieces into something different me. When I was in college I heard my professor in philosophy telling about a Jesuit talks about the feeling of nothingness , unfortunately I haven't attended those.

What are some

English verbs are a very important part of speech - if not the most important one. No wonder some learners still can't use verbs correctly, even though they have learned all the basic rules of them. When you use verbs to make a sentence, you should take into consideration the following:

What structures are possible after a particular verb

Some verbs can be followed by an infinitive or the -ing form or 'object + infinitive' or two objects or a preposition group or nothing , while some are more ofte
