When Islam rose up in arms in self-defence, Ibn Rawahah provided his service in all the battles: Badr, Uhud, Al-Khandaq, Al Hudaibiyyah, and Khaibar.
His perpetual slogan was these lines of poetry,
"O my soul, death is inevitable,
so it is better for you to be martyred."
He shouted at the disbelievers in every battle,
"O disbelievers, get out of my way.
My Prophet has all the excellent qualities".
The Battle of Mu’tah started, and, as we have mentioned, he was the third of the Commanders after Zaid
This is my old blog being republished here without any major changes, to add it in my blogs list. I am telling it to you for this reason that you may not be confused whether writing challenge of this month is my keychain or I have a dream(^_^)
WRITING CHALLENGES: MY KEYCHAIN
After dinner, I was lying on my bed and was falling asleep. Before going bed, I always put my key-chain on the table near to my bed. However, that time, it reminded me a writing challenge of this month given by the teacher, Ta
Dear EC Members,
Though Noora is no longer a member of MyEC, I am sure many of you still remember her and her blogs. A little update I received today from her sister; 23 September 2013, Noora will be undergoing a lung transplant. I don't know the details and where she's going to have the transplant in Indonesia or Singapore. Her sister asked that all of you to pray for her. Therefore, just keep your prayers for our little sister Noora, and may she stay strong.
Thank you.

Hello! Before you roll your eyes with the title of this blog post, let me tell you that this is not a legit word. I innovated this acronym as one of my vocabulary learning techniques.
Vocabcuemery - means that it's time for me to learn new words using cue cards. Also, to jot down unfamiliar words or phrases as a vocab exercise.
This is a weird term, isn't it? As an English learner, it's essential to improve our vocabulary for every day activities. Even native speakers learn new words once in awhil

..........While I was browsing the Net earlier, I came across this gut-wrenching story about a young girl, Sahar Gul who was sold into marriage at a tender age of 12. The article tells us about the horrifying experience the defenceless girl went through in the hands of her in-laws! Besides being left to starve, to our utter shock, she was chained in a basement and beaten with red hot iron pipes. Guess what? The gruesome torture didn’t stop there! They pulled out all her fingernails when she ref

Okay this is a simple but (i think) a funny game:
You just have to name here your 3 favorite animals (in order, first the one you like most and then the others) and it's also important that you write briefly the reasons why you like those animals (different reasons for different animals)
After writting your answer, read what it's written at the bottom of this post (please don't cheat! don't read it before!) Maybe your answers will help you to know something new about yourself ;)

My page look so dead. In the meantime, so much things has happened. I'm in the last year of my graduation so I have to work harder to get good grades and also to get admission in masters.

My second sister is getting married in November. And the problem is that my exams and her wedding are falling on the same date. And
How can people hear animal calls is different for Japanese and English speakers.
For example, Japanese can hear call of cats like "nya nya", English speakers can hear that like "mew mew". Dogs sound like this in Japanese "wan-wan", and like this in English speakers "bow-wow". Roosters sound like this in Japanese "kokekottuko"、 and like this in English speakers "cock-a-doodle-doo". Sheep sound like this in Japanese "mee", and like this in English speakers "baa". Hello members
I am sure, nobody will deny the beauty of this quotation "Be yourself", but whenever jealousy grows in us, we put aside all moral lessons and begin degrating others. If we start criticizing envious people, there will be no difference left between them and us. So let's talk about its solutions, agree?. To the best of my humble observation, there are two methods of remedying jealousy. One method has been extracted from Islamic viewpoints and other is general and anyone can apply it.
One night (a few months ago), I was sitting on my back porch and joking around with some of the EC members while posting. Most of you who know me well are aware of the fact that I'm not much of an English Teacher and simply enjoy chatting here while doing my level best to help out when time allows. Writing and being creative is a part time hobby of mine. Yet, this is a true story and I'm composing it in a serious manner.
Anyway,... These strange orange lights appeared on my southern horizon with
On the third day of last Eid Mubarak, my niece got married. In this blog, I want to share with you the typical Malay wedding reception. This blog will be in two parts; Part One : The Engagement and Part Two : The Wedding
Part One : The Engagement
Before I tell you about the wedding itself, let me tell about the engagement ceremony. For a Malay lady, the engagement ceremony is elaborate and still as traditional as it was years ago. When a Malay man wants to ask a hand of marriage for a particular l
A long, long time ago, over seven seas, seven mountains and seven rivers in the ancient land of Elam, somewhere between Anshan and Susa or maybe even farther, lived a young Prince in his magnificent castle overlooking picturesque valleys with blue skies high above and white clouds lazily floating in the warm wind blowing over green fields where rivers used to run.
He was the happiest person on earth for he had met the love of his life. Not
Feeling alone though there are a lot of people around you is the worst feeling. Today is Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam. It's also the first festival I have joined in the US. No moon cake, no lanterns, no friends, no family ... I feel cold inside and outside. However, I can't share my feelings to anyone ... I don't know how to share but the most important thing is I don't really want anyone to know my feeling . Don't want to bother anyone. It's true that I always struggle myself ... I have just

Hello guys, I'm Daniel, writing here this time to explain a question that for a long time I asked myself: What explains the fly of airplanes? This question got better my understanding about the subject in my mind before I have read an article that answered this . So, I want to show for you what I've learnt from this reading, sharing with all of you here and now my observations about the airplane flying and, of course, making clear for who doesn't know the motivation for the aircrafts fly, the
