It is a(n)...

"It's like an iPad, only thicker. It entertains you for hours. It's like Individual screens with words on it. It's like a movie you get to direct in your own head."

Ah, that poor guy! He was desperately trying to explain to the young people why books are awesome. It made me sad that he had to compare a book with an iPad. I'm not against technology, heck I have my fair share of these "modern prisons

Does God Really Exist !?

Hello dear friends, how are you doing ? Hope you all are doing well. Before reading the blog, I must mention some points :

  1. Whereas this text is long, and might cause you to be tired, I don't expect you friends to read it and comment on it. It is just for the members who like the thoughtful and theological essays.
  2. The denying comments are not welcome except the ones which have strong scientific reason(s) behind them. Also the comments must be related to the text concepts so please don't come up

DEAR FRIEND... #1

Dear friend,

I'm writing this because I think you listen and understand and we have a same tact in music and movies; and please do me a favor; I don't want you to judge about me based on my past 'cause I think I'm not sensitive, shy, taciturn and sad as much as I used to be... and I promise I won't be judgmental too; not even about you but also about everybody else...

I just can't figure out that how all these happened together... I'm talking about 3 years ago when I was mentally normal(after bein

My Little Curious George

My nephew is a handful. Whenever he leaves me, it looks like a hurricane hit my apartment. Anyway, he is a real ball of fire and a very curious kid. He asks a lot of questions and always demands immediate answers. Yesterday, he wasn't that Curious George though. When I asked his mother what's wrong she told me: "He wants a puppy." Then she looked directly at him and said: "Not gonna happen buddy. And that's final!"

Me: 'Why?'

Her: ' 'cause he's four. That's a huge responsibility. What is wrong wit

My dear friends! I'd like to wish each of you and all of you  to experience happiness of love and despair of being left alone, joy of being together and grief of losing what and whom you love, I wish you to burst in laughter and tears, to feel inspiration and disappointment, to learn from the mistakes of others and to make your own. I wish you to enjoy your lives, to stumble and to fall down but always to be able to rise. Otherwords, I wish you all to feel the storm of all emotions a human being

Love Formula

Love, love, love! I can feel you everywhere I go - in the movies, in the songs, in the novels, in the paintings, in the poems... You inspire us, you make us creative, you somehow unintentionally force us to share, what we feel because at times, we just want to scream to the whole world, we found you and we are the happiest person on the Earth.

Both genders percieve you differently. The women tend to be more sensitive and talkative, they prefer sharing meanwhile some tough men might consider talki

Chocolate or Popcorn?

Today's the day, and love is in the air!(Is it now?) Thousands of bouquets (roses of course, Duh!) will be bought and florists are going to do their best not to snap at picky costumers. A great deal of chocolate will be consumed today and a lot of gym instructors will be soooo busy tomorrow. (The abundance of cliché in this paragraph is literally killing me!).

Or better yet, maybe you are sick and tired of clichés. Maybe you prefer to stay at home, wear your lazy pants, pop up a HUGE bowl of popc

Sometimes we get used to something that we just take it for granted like health, family, friends etc.

Then we will start saying that I shouldn’t have done that, I should have behaved more wisely or I should have been more careful. In all of these sentences actually we wish that we had another opportunity to behave differently.

For instance health; have you ever been so sick that you cannot even stand up? After few days staying in bed you wish to be strong and healthy again. At that very moment you

SERIOUSLY... I'M KIDDING.

SOCIAL SKILLS

❋❋❋

There has never been a time when people could communicate and express themselves as instantly and as much as they can now. It's hard to believe, but there was a time when communicating meant we had to WRITE LETTERS!

I've always liked writing. I like the feeling of having a nice pen in my hand. It feels like I'm creating something when I put pen to paper, even if it is just a doodle of a flower or a note that says, "If you ever park in my spot again, I will have your ass towed." It

One American study reported that Americans are inclined to dislike smokers more than obese people. This study said that 17% of people disliked smokers in 1991 and they increased to 25% of people in 2011. It seems that Americans take tougher stance on smokers than before.
On the other hand, there were 12% of people who disliked obese people in 2011 and this is less than 16% of people in 2003.
What do you think about smokers and obese people?

He said: "I know that... I know that..."

They said: "You should not protest..."

He said: "I can not protest..."

They said: "You should be so thankful... you should be grateful... that you are not the worst on the earth..."

He said: "No... that's not right... I MUST be so thankful... I MUST be so grateful... 'cause I'm not the worst on the earth...

I must choose one thing between two...

Which I like them both most on the earth...

It's the most impossible thing.

A symphony of colors

These artworks are made out of paper by Yulia Brodskaya. She is a Russian artist and famous for her handmade paper illustrations. She lives in the UK now. To me, her works are extraordinary, joyful and full of life.

It was raining that morning, I might have hugged my pillow all day because of its coldness. Then my phone rang, my little sister’s name appeared on the screen, in fact, it was mum. She might have been annoyed due to my ignorance, for the heaven’s sake that was 5 am! what kind of call at this hour? Two missed calls, mum might have known I wont picked it up so she sent me a message instead of another call.

“Your auntie has died few minutes ago”

I could have schoked, I might have cried, or at least f

Teaching Adults

When we decide to teach adults, the awareness, as well as comprehension of whom we teach and what we learn, is essential here.

2347216829?profile=original

1) Adults do not want to waste the time.

Some adults take language courses because of a job requirement while others have their particular goal to attain (such as a language exam or a professional interview). Adults expect direct, practical benefit. All of them will raise the similar questions
• Why,
• What for,
• How,
• Who (is my teacher?),
• What else could I achieve in

Expector Smith's blog challenge

I was getting restless after waiting for Shiv for more than an hour

"I don't think he will come, Shoba. Just give up on him," my brother said to me.

"He might have got caught in the traffic," I told him without meeting his eyes.

"Then why didn't he call you and say so?" he inquired like a policeman.

"He may have called me. My phone is not working," I lied to him.

"Come on, face the truth, Shoba! If he is really interested in you why hasn't he come yet?" he wanted to know.

I really had no answer f

Happiness

One day there was a young man sitting and blank gaze leading to a lake. He had travelled to many places to find a happiness, but anything or anyone couldn’t make him happy for long time. In silence, suddenly he heard a nasal voice from behind.

"What are you doing here, young man?" an old man who lived around the lake asked to that boy. A young man turned and said, “I am tired Sir, I have walked to many places searching for a happiness, but I can not find it. I don’t know where else the places tha

I was looking through the movies released in 2015, and I bumped into The Peanuts Movie. Imagine my surprise when I saw one of my favorite comic books has turned into a 3D movie. Charles M. Schulz and Bill Watterson are my most adored cartoonists. I learned a lot from good ol' Charlie Brown and Calvin & Hobbes when I was a kid and those lessons are making sense now!

A Phone Call

A phone call

Once I happened to live near my work place and there was no rush of traffic either. I used to go home for lunch. One day when I was having lunch, a phone call came from an Engineering Company. They used to manufacture ball bearings of very limited range. I had applied for better prospect.

When I received the phone call, someone on the other side asked me whether I could come for an interview just then. Finding their location near my work place, I agreed. After having my lunch I left t

A Friendly Ghost!

Topic taken from Seeker's 'Writing Prompt-2"

Last night I came across with a ghost. She seemed to be very dejected. She was weeping. I felt a deep sorrow for her and asked why she was wandering between heaven and earth. She told me the following story:

Quote
I have been wandering since I have given my life to my love. He had the coolest heart, but there had always been a warm smile on his face. He was handsome. In my eyes he was prince charming, but he had always filled with gloom. He might have b
