Do we have such nails?

I’m sad! She left me. It may be my misconception that I have forgotten her. The thought that she is no more in my heart may help me to restore myself, but in fact it's difficult to forget someone whom we deeply love. Her love has settled deep down in my heart. I can’t dislodge it. Yes it is difficult to forget her. We do not have the nails that can scratch all the memories we have.

  • Nice to have you back Honey, and delighted to see the illustrative comments. The fact that memories can't be scratched transpires from the embedded fonts............very illustrative.

  • Yes it is, Behrad, you are right.  Thanks for the comments.

  • It will be okay Mishaikh... I hope to... We choose the love we think we deserve and sometimes it's not like we want at the end...

  • You know Mohammad I can easily understand these Persian words because they are also used in Urdu like:
Rukhsaar, rung, gul, Nasreen, Sabr Araam, miskeen
marz, shafa, dard-e-dil, elaaj (These words are used in Urdu in the same meaning as in Persian).

    Thanks once again.

  •    You are welcome dear Mishaikh, because you love Hafez poetry and I do too (he is my beloved traditional poet), I wanna say another poem from him here:

آنكه رخسار تو را رنگ گل و نسرين داد ،،،، صبر و آرام تواند به من مسكين داد

Who, to thy cheek, the hue of the rose and of the jonquil gave,

To me miserable, patience and ease can give.

@ Setareh and Sophia: Actually I meant in case of real love which there is not any cure for that, not our love !!  :) and I think Mishaikh has got what I meant. As you said, passing of time can be a nice remedy for this kind of pain, and that time span is related to the depth of love. But in real love cases like the love between theosophists and God or a few kinds mentioned in Persian literature like the love between Shirin & Farhad or Leyli & Majnoon, (who never joined each other) there is no remedy for those sweet pains !!

    As Hafez said:

از اين مرض به حقيقت شفا نخواهم يافت ،،،، كه از تو درد دل اي جان نميرسد به علاج

  • Thanks setareh for your comments and advice.  I appreciate that.

  • All the poems and all the stories about love always doesn't only include happy moments but also sad moments. As dear Sophia said time is a great healer. Most of the time being patient is the only way; patience always pays off.
  • I welcome you jennylu on this site of learning, and also grateful for taking time to read and comments on my blog.................yes time may be the solution, but some memories are so scathing even time fails to fade them.

    See you around jenny.

  • Mohammad I love your comment especially Hafez (Sheraazi) poetry:  Yes those poets of the past were authority on description of human feelings and emotions.  Thanks for your appreciation Mohammad.
