It was an extremely exciting moment when the news said the first miner had been rescued early this morning. Now the 17th miner of 33 is just rescued and 17 miners are still underground and waiting to be rescued gradually. It's a harrowing days and nightmare for them to trapped in such a deep place for 69 days. If you were them or their family, can you image how they feared they would never see their family again? And how do you re-see yourself, a new life given from God again if you were them,Ch

correctionDo you wish teachers on MyEC would correct your English? Do you wonder why we don't fix ALL of your mistakes? Not all English learners on our club want teachers to suggest corrections. Some English learners come here to practise English in a safe place. On MyEC, we don't want you to feel judged for your written (or spoken) English. You are not getting a mark! You have enough tests, quizzes, and projects that get graded. We all come here from different backgrounds. We all have different skill lev

My English Club! So many pleasant words can be said, so many pleasant emotions to be described…!!I was looking for websites for English learners for a long time when one day I visited MyEC (as a guest ) and thought “Why not sign up?” ( I do not remember the date because I didn’t pay much attention to this event in my life but I know for sure it was about 9 months ago ). So I signed up…unfortunately I failed to see the variety of opportunities this club could give to me to improve my English and

These are pictures I’ve just taken (Ukraine, midday) … that’s what you can see looking through my living room window...

What do I see ….? Well…it depends on what I want to see at some definite moment and what I want to notice and what things I consider as unimportant and don’t see them at all. My view changes every second as the city is alive (though when you look at the pictures it seems that it’s still sleeping)…people walking, wind blowing, sky clearing up and then clouding over again, the tax

When we write or speak English, we may make all kinds of mistakes - spelling, grammar, or collocation. But we can learn from our mistakes. Then, how do we learn from them? My answers are as follows:

1. Reread what you wrote or recall what you said for possible mistakes. Be aware that you may have used some words or expressions incorrectly or inappropriately. We make mistakes even when we write a simple sentence or speak an easy word. English can be so tricky. It's not a breeze for learners to ch

The problem #1 in Russia

Hello to all!Today I want to tell you something about russian "tradition", that actually made us famous and.. hm.. unpopular all over the world. Of course, I talk about drinking alcohol, especially Russian vodka. Someone thinks it's normal, someone finds it funny, someone doesn't pay any attention to it. But facts are sad.Russians drink about 18 litres of alcohol in an year per person. The number of 8 litres per person is fatally dangerous for the nation, so the Russian nation has more than a do

To upload photos or videos to your blog or comment is easy, but may take a while to discover on your own. I prefer to sometimes write in my text before the image so it will naturally be above the image. When you are ready for the image click the little camera icon in the little utility bar just below ENTRY it is in the image below with blue square around it. The ADD AN IMAGE window will then pop up.It usually works better to click the [Choose File] just below Upload an image.

That option will bro

Teach what you know, learn what you don't.

That was a quotation I took down in my notebook yesterday morning while I was reading an old issue of an American magazine. "Teach what you know, learn what you don't." I thought, that quotation is appropriate to write here.As we live, we learn. We learned many things since our childhood. Those were all stored up in our brain. One way or the other, we impart to others what we had already learned - whether we are aware of it or not. And, maybe, some of those were good ones that touched and enrich
