    At my faculty, one of my our professors asked us the above question.Regardless of the avalanche of answers we gave,I only still remember his.He said:

   My question is for you now do you master English in this sense?

Dear EC friends,

As you all know that a super earthquake of record-breaking 8.9 magnitude on Richter Scale has hit off the Japan triggering a devastating tsunami that has caused many casualties and extensive damage in north-eastern Japan.

The quake sparked fire in many buildings in Tokyo killing many people.

And there have been powerful after-shocks. After-shocks may hit the area for several months because of the very high magnitude of quake on Richter scale.

So I appeal everybody to offer thei

Unlike other social sites, what is beautiful about Myenglishclub is that any member's page is yours if not everyone's. You can visit whatever page you want, listen to the music, read the blogs, leave a comment, see the photes,write on the wall-page to greet that member or welcome him, moreover You can also read the comments he/she has left for other members or for some blogs he has read, the fact which may incite you to read the blog and leave a comment as well.  I do really enjoy this particula

MyEC: More than a Chat Room

MyEC: More than a Chat Room: Listen

We all use MyEC for different reasons. My primary reason for using MyEC is to encourage English learners to write. I love writing and I hope my passion for writing will rub off on the members here. I think blogging is an excellent way to practise and teach English.

Others use MyEC to share poetry or watch English videos or learn new vocabulary. Many of you have found groups with people who have like interests. You forget that you are practising English becaus

2346146089?profile=originalI know many of you spend a lot of time online, but do you also like to gab on the phone? Do you still have a landline, or do you just use a mobile?

This week my husband is going to get rid of our landline. Why? It costs a lot of money each month and we almost never use it. I use video chat to talk to my best friends, clients, and colleagues. I use my cell phone to text my family members and I use email, twitter, and blogs to keep in touch with friends around the world. We have moved so many time

Hi Everyone,

I'm happy to tell you that I'm already here in Canada after the long journey from China, and everything here seems to be going very well for me. I'd like to thank all the members who kept asking about my journey during my absence for the nice comments and notes. There's nothing better than receiving messages from MyEC friends. It was all the kind greetings that cheered me on and made me survive the first few days here in another country far from mine. I'm sorry for the dalay in repl

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium

2346138931?profile=original

It was a statutory holiday in some parts of Canada today. Some provinces call the third Monday in February "Family Day". I am happy to be in a province that promotes the importance of family time.

We didn't get up to much on Family Day. It was nice to just relax after a busy week full of Valentine and birthday parties. We hung out in PJs and played Wii and watched a movie. Have you seen Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium? If not, you should!

This movie stars Dustin Hoffman (Rainman) and Natalie Por

Hello my friends

Though I don't have enough time to be as active here as I would like (it takes me a lot of cncentration and time to write something here) most of the time, only having a few minutes to answer your posts, I decided to spend one hour (or more :)) here to give you a feedback  of a very interesting conference I went to last week. Many of you probably already know much about this topic, but it gives me a good opportunity to start writting here again.

By reading Expector's last post to

What is it?

Riddles are short poems or texts that ask a question that seems difficult to answer. The following famous riddle by Catherine Fanshawe is talking about something, but what is it?

Special note - this riddle uses the following (old-fashioned) contractions:
'twas = it was
'tis = it is
'twill = it will
o'er = over
e'en = even

--

'Twas whispered in Heaven,
'Twas muttered in Hell,
And echo caught faintly
The sound as it fell;
On the confines of Earth,
'Twas permitted to rest,
And the depth of the ocea

Hi Everyone,

I'm glad to inform you that I've been offered a 6-month observership (as an academic visitor) in a teaching hospital in Quebec, Canada, and I will be going there very soon. It's really a dream come true - I eventually got the opportunity to study in an English-speaking country. I hope and am sure that I can improve both English and surgical skills there. I can't wait to hit the road. I'm so excited, but a little nervous about the upcoming trip. I decided it's time for me to share th

Falling Down Hurts: But it Helps Us

I just got a message from a friend who had written weeks ago. He wanted to know how he could speak out loud without being shy and afraid. He worries that people will correct or criticize his speaking. Those who will correct us are our best friends.

Shyness is natural and criticism is important.  If others cannot criticize and correct us we cannot learn. I am now learning Arabic and face the same feelings as you.  I don't like to make mistakes, but it is how I learn the correct way of saying thing
