Ha haha. I changed most of my Firefox settings back as it was. Since by changing it's default font's minimum size. Affected also some others web sites. Not every website, but my favorite Online Enlish - Estonian - English dictionary was greatly affected. It had extremely huge fonts. :P
The page flicks, or (jerks, like you said) because it refreshing some of it's context time to time. I think.. Probably that's the case. ^_^
Well I don't have a good pic of my personal settings now, ..from the time when it's fonts were changed.. Because I discovered that I can take screens snapshots of my deskdop also from freely defined areas, so I had to have some fun, by cutting different shapes out.
It's great thing! I like it. I don't have to go to some photo editor to trim it later.. I can just cut interesting part out directly from desktop and save. It saves some time for me. ^_^
So I only have this weird whale left. :P
At the left, the window below shows a part of My profile in Konqueror and in right it's in Firefox... both show big fonts. Konqueror shows it all nicer.. But really, I know nothing about these things. I'm inexpert about web design and browsers and all this stuff. So I don't know why all fonts and everything looks nice only in Konqueror for me, Maybe it does use different fonts..
I will later check how it looks in Opera... if I can.
To me, the page looks nicest in Konqueror web-browser. It seems it's due to it's fonts settings in there.. Fonts have always been a extremely difficult things for me to set up. I usually have had just experiment until get a satisfying result.
It is possible to improve how the fonts look also in firefox.. At least in some extend.
That can be done by going to the content tab in Fire-fox Setings, or preferences.. and then choosing default font from there and the minimum font size can be chosen by clicking advanced button.. Well this won't affect all fonts. But at least those that aren't defined by page.. but I'm not sure. You have to try it by your self, to see whether it helps. At least for me there was some minor changes. Example The font size under my avatar changed.. but I had to change also some other settings.. like font's for and character encoding.. But I suppose, that those were previously wrong for me anyway.
PS. Changing these default settings may affect also other pages you visit..
PS. II Don't let the name Namarok confuse you in this next screenshot. It's genuine Firefox. It's just that the name and icon are changed.. due to some trademark/property issues. (The name firefox and it's Icon are registered trademarks of MozillaFirefox.. witch sets some limits, yet since firefox code base is free, and no one forces you to use that name and desktop icon.. all the limits can be avoided...) :P
Next pic shows my profile, compared in Konqueror at left, and in Firefox. After I changed the font settings in Fire
In general, many things are not yet right. Please be patient while the details of line-height, upper/lower case, page width and suitable CUrVeS etc are worked out. It could take a while. I do appreciate that readability is important, which is why EC uses the Verdana font which was specially designed for screen use. But other issues related to the style sheets are not right, but will be corrected as soon as possible. In general, this new template should give some advantages to members down the road. For the moment I would ask you to bear with me.
However, please continue to make comments as it's useful to have your feedback. Thank you.
You're right Tara I took that screenshot not too long after it was switched.
The current one is better, but for some text's the characters are piggybacking.. I mean the spaces are too small. Maybe It's just my systems fault. Maybe I don't have right fonts installed or smth.. I'm using Firefox in Linux Op System.
Well here's a screenshot. The titles of blogposts. And the links/titles to/of groups. They don't have enough space between characters.. The font it self is probably fine, but somewhere in stile sheets it's defined to be tight.. I'm too lazy to check it by my self now.

Well there are some things that I want to be fix but that is not a big deal. :p

Ohh, i thought i had a problem with my connection as i can not open the chatroom anymore, neither can i see the photos on people's profile.
Not sure i like this new layout, maybe just because it's never easy to get use to something new.
I have always been a nostalgic one, so not sure i won't regret the old version :))
By judging by Josef's last comment, I guess this as far I can go with whining, before he really might snap. :P
Thanks Josef. It's good to hear that the readability is your priority. And it's not that you're just trying to bully me with it.. :)
