2346437210?profile=originalI highly recommend English Club (EC) http://my.englishclub.com/ for anyone who wants to become proficient at English. This website will beneficially accelerate your progress in English. However, there are some shortcuts to maximize your English learning potential. These are steps to get the most out of the website.

  1. Sign up for free. By signing up, you will be able to use all of EC's great features. One of my favorites is its instant chat-room where you can chat with other learners and teachers ar

My home work 2 : I'm talktive..:)

At weekend, where do you like to go?

Oh, here I don’t mean to talk  about  traveling or picnic. I wanna ask you about the places you go every weekend? Shopping, watching a movie, visiting a best friend or relative...As for me, I really like to come to the babershop for washing my hair and also cutting my nails. I love colorful nails. I have been there many times then I even can paint my nails by myself. But my hubby hates that. He said : there (babershop) is “talkative” hahaha…..i

Dear friends,

I have made a change in this post as, though I had downloaded the link to the website where I found it, I could not pass here the text as it was written there, I should have written it with MY own words. So, as I believe this post is important, I have decided to record it here and I hope you will understand my "so so" english. I guess that is not forbidden by google.
You may think that, maybe, I should have "rewritten" the post but, nowadays, I can't doing it due to a lack of concen

Hi, there!

This is me again. I had posted this previously but I accidentally removed it...So, let's see. my question is: How would you like to be remembered after death?

I know that thinking about our own death is a little bit "creepy" maybe, but it is important for us, at least to know how people would keep us in their minds, hearts and memories after our death. In my case, I would like to be remembered as a big dreamer, hardworking and self-centered person, of course as a great teacher and mom

2346435128?profile=originalHi everyone.

I am starting my first entry with a very particular topic that is increasing in my country, Venezuela, nowadays.

It seems that being naturally beautiful is not enough. The society ( Magazines, models, T.V, movies and some others) is telling us that we need to go through changes so that we can be accepted in this probably fake circle, which everybody is trying to be someone else. What do you think?

On the other hand, I just noticed that having some extra pounds or kilograms of weight i

Dear friends and teacher,

Years ago I wrote this text in my diary; of course I wrote it in French which is my mother tongue. I decided to translate it into English so I could take part to this fun writing challenge Tara gave us. It was not easy at all and my biggest challenge was to use the right tenses. Written in red my new vocabulary.

Wandering around Istanbul.

It has been one month and one week since I dropped off my suitcases in Istanbul, it was the month of May ... the best to get lost in the

It had been a long time ago since the last time I joined moderated chat. I have been talking with some members who are not regular chatters. They said they wanted to join the chat room if there is any moderated chat. So, I guess someone needs to revive it and asks other members to join.

So, I shared to main room about moderated chat and how to do it. Since,

It's really great that you have fulfilled a dream of visiting the Big Apple.  I was enamored of your trip and enjoyed those fascinating stories and photos, particularly the cue cards and that sumptuous cheese cake you shared on MyEC.  Unlike your trip to the big city, last August we took Express Train to visit a small village named Houtong, a paradise of cats, where is located in the north part of Taiwan.

Dearest Best friend Anele,

First of all, thank you so much for writing such an awesome letter to me. I enjoyed reading it a lot!!!

Yesterday, I received your letter moments before I left home for a holiday trip to Alhambra, Spain. And guess with whom?! With our crazy and psycho MyEC friend, Yasemin!

Hey, don't be angry for we didn't tell you about our trip before. Actually, we wanted to surprise you!

And here I'm, sitting in a cozy room in Hotel Alhambra Palace and writing this lette

Dear Raj,

I have had the happiness of receiving my first letter from EC’s sweet member, you. You know I wasn’t here for a while, that’s why I asked one of my neighbor’s to keep it till I came. I almost lost my hope in getting it in my hands and reading it. But, thank God now I have it.

So, when are you coming here? When you come to Turkey, I will take you to a very beautiful place called Amasra, in the west forests of the Black Sea in the north of Turkey. There, the greatest charm of foliage is ne

I Am a Tough Cookie

You don’t know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have.

Familiar with that sentence? How strong do you think you are?

Last week, we had guests at home. My old friends came to our house. We had a good time though their 20 months cute daughter couldn’t come. We talked, we laughed and we ate. It was lunch time so of course we ate. It was a memorable moment, but there was something that I will always remember. It was my dad. He has glaucoma since 2005. Had a surgery, but t

         My babies,

First, I just remind you , don’t laugh at my mistakes. Although, I am your sweet mom but it’s not mean : I’m smart. I know, my English is still poor and I’m trying to be good in it day by day. I want you to feel proud of me. And if you find some mistakes, don’t shout them in public, I will be ashamed..ehehe….

Next, remember, this letter is for all of you. So don’t be jealous of each other. All you are my  kids. I love you equally. No one is much more than other. N

Dear Muge (Mommy)

We have not kept in touch for  a long time and you may be wondering what  I am up to . I got a letter from you in Turkey , dated October 15th 2011. Much to my dismay , thanks to the crawling  postal service here in my country , I got it only today!

At that time I was not in Sri Lanka as I was in Australia for my daughter's graduation . I was  fortunate to make it with my husband  and share some  beautiful memories.

We left to Melbourne on October 7th,  very excited like two kids;

Actually I don’t want to use this title. But today, I have a “cold war” with my hubby. And he said : “honey, remember that You are my rib. If I want ….then I will take it again” hahaha….Really? Well, let me list what would happen if there were no women in this world.

       * Firstly,  Men would become fat because all  their time, They would only eat, sleep, drink…They wouldn’t go out. Their lives are bored. They couldn’t see any “wonderful things” in this word.

Hello friends, hope you all are doing well and in fine shape. I had been away for a while because I was on vacations. Also due to a mishap I lost my laptop, therefore I became irregular. Hopefully I will find ample time and means to be back in the main stream.

Now coming to the point, my purpose of writing this blog is to point out the falling numbers in blog entries every month. When I returned, approximately after a month or so, I have observed a sharp decline in the number of blog entries as c

My letter to Tara, about my visit to the Sahara

Dear Tara,

I am so glad you had an enjoyable trip to New York City. I can imagine how it was wonderful with your kids. I’m going to be a mother, and I know how it feels to be happy with your family in any place you put your feet in.

My husband Josef is interested in making Discovery Tours, for the first time he suggested visiting the Sahara last year in March, I thought he was joking, “What! A trip to the desert?!”… He insisted and I hesitated, howeve

Today is the Day of Memory and Mourning in Russia. 71 years ago on June 22,1941 Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union without declaring a war. It was a peaceful Sunday morning.... 4 am..............Thousands of innocent people died during the first hours of massive attacks. The Great Patriotic War broke out. In the world it's known as World War II, but in Russia it's known as the Great Patriotic War, because all people of Russia ( including women and children) defended their country. This war is

capitalize (verb): to write the first letter of a word with a capital letter

This month I'd like to challenge you to review the rules about capitalization. We don't use capitals very often. The 3 most common reasons for using a capital letter are:

1) at the beginning of a new sentence

2) for the pronoun "I"

3) the first letter of a proper noun

When I read the blog posts and comments on MyEC, I often notice people using capital letters incorrectly.

The 4 most common errors I see English learners making
