Hey Guys

I was reading an interesting article just now, and I was laughing so hard that I think I have to share this with you guys.

This is about some spelling errors and poor use of English which can result in really big embarrassment and sound rude in some cases. I have to apologise well in advance if some of you found it a bit crude, but you have to admit that maybe these kinds of mistakes we made in our daily lives and we did not realised them.

I have no affiliation with the websites linked in

"Three cheers for our queer old dean!"

         Hello everyone,

I want to thank my two dearest friends Setar and Noas who encouraged me to write this blog.

                                                           So, Thanks a lot

Observing some conversations in the Main Room for the last few days led me to write this tricky issue. What I noticed recently is the bigotry that had been rampant among some members. What's bigotry some of you may ask.

  Bigotry (/ˈbigətrē/)

Noun : Bigoted attitudes; intolerance toward those who hold

Gun control

This week, US Government and both Houses of Congress are going to conclude a thorniest issue recently in USA: Gun control. Up to now, this country has been known as a free country where people are not restricted from owning a firearm. This free right, on one hand, has allowed US citizen to protect themselves with a personal hot weapon, but on the other hand, it has made a lot of tragedies namely some indiscriminate shootings recently at elementary schools in USA.

"I'm sorry for your story, but I think you are a very strong and independent girl, um...actually my mom hopes for me to find a submissive girl. So...thanks for your coming and good luck to you."
That was my ninth blind date, as you can see, it failed. I am Stormy, a policewoman, 28, and single since I graduated from university and broke up with my first love. We broke up because... Alas! Better let bygones be bygones. Since then, I have stayed single, lonely but also free, and I am a workaholic

Practising English Online

I wrote this blog based on Tara's Practising English Online Challenge. I've added some information and made some amendments from my original blog.

Years ago, I stumbled upon EC when I was looking for an English Chat Room to alleviate my boredom. I met many good friends, but at that time, not many English Teachers or native English Speakers joined the Chat Room. When I re-entered EC somewhere in October last year, EC had changed. I found out many English Teachers and also native English Speakers w

Do You Really Know L♡ve?

2346563480?profile=originalLove is a lovely and loving word. But do you really know it well?
Actually love has many different forms, or you can say "she" has a large family. Ok, let's have a look at different love forms:

2346563522?profile=originalNoun: Love, lover, loveliness
Adjective: Lovely, loveable, loving, loved
Adverb: Lovingly.
Do I leave out any of "her" family members? If I do, please remind me!

Girls, mind you, at least look for a guy who knows different love forms; Boys, from now on, keep all the love forms in mind, or the smart girls w

ESP is not usually for Beginners

This blog post discusses ESP as a type of English class. The blog is not at a beginner level and will be too difficult for beginners unless you take your time using your dictionary and the vocabulary words at the end. I do hope that upper intermediate readers will be able to understand this topic easily.

ESP stands for English for Specific Purposes.  It is sometimes called English for Special Purposes which means the same.

ESP describes English classes designed to teach specialized or technical E

Practising English Online

This blog is motivated by Tara Benwell's writing challenge. To be honest, I like writing challenges because you can see different sparkling ideas from different bloggers, and that's really a cool thing!

You may want to ask why I joined MyEC. That's a question, and I have thought about it every o

Chasing that Elusive Dream

Born in a family where most of the members are teachers I and my two sisters are expected to be teachers as well. There is a problem though I hate school ever since I step on it the first time. On my entire school life I was constantly looking for a reason not to attend school.  School back then was just a way for me to get away with house hold chores. Up to these days I still can say that the reason I finish University is because back then it’s one of the major requirement to get a job. It took

In few days, I will have to give my final exams. I am supposed to study for them, but I don't have any intentions or passions for that. I think I am so exhausted mentally. The reason that I realized I am mentally so exhausted was a nice message that I recieved from a friend on EC. The message made me think that I have lost true joy and contentment of my life because of my university workloads.

Then, one thing guidde me to another. To take this university workload and stress off of my shoulder, I

I just returned from an excellent TESOL convention in Dallas, Texas. The annual convention provides professional development for English language teachers from all over the world. I always enjoy listening to the ideas of teachers, administrators, publishers, and writers. Like every year, I always come home feeling inspired.

This year, I attended an excellent session on materials writing. In the English language teaching (ELT) industry, a materials writer is someone who writes materials (tests, l

Judy! I totally agree with you that some people will not ever live , and knowing life as a race.  They want to reach a point in the distant horizon. And they do not realize   they so exhausted and may not reach to the goal .and if they reach they see their self in the finish line in while they haven’t noticed to the direction and haven’t enjoyed ,then it i
