A few days ago I was asked to to expain how to use SHALL and WILL and I decided to post this blog for everyone to be able to read it.

To use SHALL/SHOULD with the first-person subject sounds old-fasionate now.

In modern English, especially in American English SHALL is used very rarely. Internationally, WILL is the standard choice for expressing future plans and expectations, promises and much more. However, we sometimes use SHALL in the following cases:

1. In the questions implying immediate reacti

Dear friends, as you all like writing different stories using the direct speech and quotations, I decided to tell you how to do it correctly. Here are a few easy rules we should follow.

1. We should always quote the direct speech, the quotations and the words we use in some figurative sense.

She said, “I am leaving.” (The direct speech)

I believe “there is no place like home.” (A proverb)

Mishaikh said, “I have been “run over” by Danny’s task” (TO RUN OVER has been used in figurative sense. Sure, I

Yes, it makes sense to know sentence structure since a blog or an article is made of sentences - only when you can make sentences can you compose a piece of writing.

Indeed, there are just 4 types of sentences: simple sentence, compound sentence, complex sentence, compound-complex sentence. For example:

1. Expector is a doctor. (simple sentence)

2. Expector is a doctor and he loves English. (compound sentence)

3. Expector, who is a doctor, is also a moderator of MyEC. (complex sentence)

4. Expector

Gene is a structure and mansion of life. It is the general term for the special nucleotide sequences with genetic effect in DNA molecules. The resemblance of children to their parents is caused by the reproductive function of genes, which pass on the genetic information to the next generation. The different gene structures account for why the white race is white race, black race is black race, yellow race is yellow race, dog is dog, and rose i

Meet my pet: Peeve! IV

Don't show me your sonogram. What am I supposed to say? Hmm? That it looks just like you? Or can I have a copy? See me when it (you heard me, "it") becomes bitter and jaded.

Goes through different phases 24/7.

Changes hair color like a chameleon.

Is embarrassed to be seen with you 'cause you're wearing Mom jeans.

Gets a neck tattoo.

Plays with the idea of getting a ''gnarly face tatt'' two weeks later.

Finally, gets one. Despite your passive-aggressive protests.

Decides to wear a septum ring, which ma

The kids had gone and the old man took a cup of coffee from the coffee pot on the stove, filled a glas with lemonade for the boy and took a seat on his old armchair opposite the boy. Between both stood only an old wooden table. On the table lay some journals, some medical journals and some about gardening and farming.

The boy took a sip of lemonade, looked at the old man and said: "I have seen a shelf with so many medical books and also there are many of them also here on your table. I also noti

I Haven't been Run Over!

Reading Danny’s Writing Challenge: Back to Idioms and Phrasal Verbs I over-confidently thought that it was not a big deal and I would run off a story based on all the idioms provided by him.  But that was not the case. I ran on thinking how to cope with it.  I ran my mind hard over some hints, some points, some ideas, but my mind was totally blocked.  It seemed that I was running like a hairy goat.  I was feeling like I ran out of all the thoughts, ideas, even glimpses of some romance.  “Oh! The

My friends, I have written my story to demonsrate the use of idioms. It is a true story. Enjoy and learn!

Well, I often run myself into the ground overworking and taking to heart what isn’t worth a bean. But about 3 years ago I decided to reward myself and bought a very good expensive car I had always dreamt about. It was just an ordinary spring day I will never forget, it was already hot and rainy and I decided to get to work by my new car I was still running in. It was my first drive on the hig

Happiness

What is the definition of happiness? Is it transient? I am trying to get answer above those question. But I have not got any perfect answer yet. Sometimes I feel if I can fulfill my fundamental needs then I am happy. But when I go out of my room I feel I am not happy because I feel I have not got something that I want from my heart. In this sense I am not happy. But when I think very simple way, I feel that I am happy.when I think that life is lived so I should be happy which i have already got.

2347415535?profile=originalMy dear friends, I couldn't decide what task to propose you. I wanted to post something both useful and interesting. But yesterday I saw a car accident on the highway. Fortunately, there happened nothing serious and it helped me come up with this idea.

Well, the idea is following. I will tell you some idioms and phrasal verbs with the verb TO RUN and will ask you to write your stories using at least 5 of them. If some of the expressions are not clear enough, just ask me for more explanations and

Brain—epitome of the universe

Brain—epitome of the universe

Xuefeng

All the material wealth created by man is a realistic reflection of man’s brain. Man’s thinking, memory, speech, and actions are all attributes of human brain. That a society can be organically united to accomplish a goal is also the result of brain activity. All Nobel Prize winners and great men in history distinguish themselves from others because they have made full use of their brains.

Scientists are still far far away from uncovering the mys

Upon a time lived an old man near to a little village and everyone of the local peopleo had heard about him but nobody has known him so really. He lived outside of the village in an old farm house. The house was very old but it was surrounded by a beautiful flower garden.

He always had gone very rarely to the small village. Only if he needed buying some things from the little store, he went shopping. He didn't need so much because he planted potaoes, vegetables at a little farmland. He owned als

It is May? Oh.. No, Not yet..

I guess as long as April is running, then there is still a time for new participation... Sorry Danny, I guess it's better to come late than not to come at all.. And thus, here it is my participation on Danny's Challenge: Fool's Day.

I remembered this event, when I left a comment on Mary's blog about valuing and loving our toes the way they deserve..

It happened once that I was playing a joke on my family. I told them that "Scientists say that the face of human being

Hello guys,

Today we had a cool game in the EC main chat room..

The game is about asking a question, while others should be requested to give the most stupid possible answer on it.. Well.. that's crazy, I know.. but still that's not as easy as you may think.. Today I tasted how people could play stupid and I was very shocked that people here were unable to take it in stupid way at all.. I can share with you the answers, so you can see that answers were really serious when they were supposed to be

Many talented people living among us appear to be mediocre, not because they are of low intelligence or are not gifted, but because they have either not found their own tracks or they have taken the wrong ones.

Everyone has unlimited potential, but the main reason for not having given
