Are you asking about the title of this photo...staring contest?
It means the photo looks like Sam and the rooster are having a staring contest.
The contest is to stare (look) at each other's eyes as long as they can...
Whoever looks away is the loser.
Well, that's not actually what's going on there...I just made it up!

Well, Sam actually was fascinated...he was trying to pet the rooster in fact.

It's actually his first time to have seen a rooster or other animals walking around so freely outside...besides the usual dogs and cats...and squirrels...heheh!
This was taken in March when we went to the Philippines.
