.....I love hiking in National Parks or any natural environment and I'm sure that most of you would never dare to throw garbage in places like these. But unfortunately, lot of irresponsable people do that.On the left side of this picture you can see a beautiful National Park very close to my city where I love to go for hiking and takin' pictures. I went there for first time 5 years ago and it was an awesome place still very unknown for many people, so it was super clean and quiet. But 2 years ago this place was being promoted by the town council as a 'very charming hiking route', so lot of people started going there. The consequences of that are on the right side of the picture. That's what I found last time I went there (last summer): Plastic bags and garbage thrown by stupid idiots who should stay at home and throw it in their living rooms instead... I just wanted to cry when I found all these in only 15 minutes walking.I'm sure most of you have lived situations like this. When we see garbage thrown in a natural place, our first thought is something like: "How is possible that there're so many dirty and irresponsible people who throw garbage here???!!" Yes, we all think like that. But what we do next? We ignore it and just keep walking?? That doesn't make us same irresponsible? Because, even if we didn't throw that garbage, it's there and is the Nature who pays the price... always. No matter if 'cause of irresponsability or 'cause of indifference. That's what I thought when I found all these garbage in this place so, I picked up all what I found on my way and put it in my small backpack to throw it later in a plastic waste container. This is my suggestion for this great Grace's photo challenge:In order to be of any help to keep clean our Mother Nature, and hoping to be also a kind of 'inspiration' for motivating other people (family, friends, younger generations, etc) to do the same: Take with you a backpack or any bag when you go for a walk in any natural environment, in case you find garbage thrown by stupid morons, to pick it up. If all the people who cares about this do that, I'm sure there'd be one day where we won't need to do it anymore.....

Ada! Aww so you already do that, how cool you are! ^_^ Thank you so much!
Mishaikh, yes, I think irresponsible people are everywhere, no matter the country. But as usually, education is always the key. If we start doing small things like this one, our kids will learn from it and they will take it as an habit for them and for future generations. So, every litter we pick up, counts :)
It's sad to see the plastics destroyed our nature. When I go to parks and hiking I am seeing lots of grocery bags, plastic wraps, disposable cutlery, straws, coffee cups lids and so many plastics every where in between the green. The same people who got the healthy habits destroying the nature.
I stopped buying water and I boiled the tap water and let it cool and I use it. I try my best to recycle. I got a gloves in my bag to pick up litter. Your lovely pictures and motivating words encouraging me to continue what I am doing now. Thank you dear Mary!
Yes, sorry for changing a lil bit the title of the challenge, I just thought it could be nicer to share my suggestion with a positive statement.
haha oh yeah! my hot water bottle "wears" like a tiny sweater XD
Thanks a lot for keeping the Photo section so alive with your challenges and motivating us with your topics :)
Onee! Nice to meet you too!! XD Yup, I think we are the same size ;)
You wish?? Oh, no! You defenitely can!! Why not? :D
Roman, but that was long time ago and, as I told you some times, we are not born having knowledge or being mature and responsible human beings: we have to learn and we never stop learning. And the best thing is that we always can change! :)
Thanks for taking in mind my suggestion ^_^
Rosemary, yes you're right. There shouldn't be any problem if people want to visit natural places... But what I can't get to understand is why the heck do that people who go there to eat sweets and junk food and leave the trash all over the place... Why they go there in first place??! Why they just don't go to a mall, or to a movie theater?? My theory is that kind of people don't even like the Nature, since they don't respect it so... why they even bother going there??...
Anyway, still i believe there're more people who cares about it. So, being a majority, we should 'win' one day if we just make this small and easy task every time we visit any natural environment. Thanks for dropping by and share your thoughts :)
U know what Mary there are many hiking places in my city , but I hate it when our city promote tourism here , because I know what people will do they will damage it and throw garbage and cans everywhere . I share the same feelings as u do about natural places I want people to be away from them due to their lack of environmental awareness . Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos with us here :)
I was like those idiots before. Maybe 10-15 years ago I was doing the same :( Now it will look like excuse, but I was gathering the garbage in a park or forest only three times. And one of them was a planned event by the village council.
I hope, that starting from today, every time, when I will be going to the nature places, the allarming bells will be ringing in my head, to remind me to take a backpack or something to gather the garbage, if I see it.
Btw, your pictures are magnificent and like from the fairytale!
This is icing on the cake, Mary! I was much moved by your heart-stirring action. Yes, "what we do next" that matters when coming across the same situation! I do hope your post would encourage many of us to try our best keeping our environment clean. Besides, I love how you changed the topic cleverly from "NO" to "YES" for the challenge, which sounds more powerful. Thanks a lot Mary for sharing this WOW with us. :)
Btw, I wonder if your cute pink hot water bottle looks like a sweater outside. Could you take a complete shape photo of that? I feel like buying one. haa

I hereby support your motive to keep our surrounding clean and green.
I am surprisingly seeing this problem these days in the USA (where I live), I have written a blog on this too.
People seem to be irresponsible here too. It was so very common back there in my country, here I am totally shocked.
