  Could and would are called modal helping or auxiliary verbs. They are used with other verbs to express ideas like necessity, possibility or request.

  Could is the past tense of can. It is used to say that something is possible or can be done.

  Would is the past tense of will and it is used for the same way of referring to someone who said or thought of something that was going to happen or will be done.  I hope this helps Nashid.
