  Thanks for your kind comments regarding Sasha. I hope he will contact me on Skype but maybe time-of-day differences will interfere, Ukraine is so far away! This summer I hope to learn how to video myself so that I can make lip-reading videos!

  I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's illness. I know exactly how you feel about leaving the home you love to care for a mother. It is such a hard thing to do. I'm currently reading a book about this called The Long Goodbye (this author also lost her mom on Christmas Day). Even though it was almost ten years ago when I went through this, I am still grieving. Big hug. Thanks for the Florida invite! I really hope to take my kids to Disney World in the next few years.

  You have done a fantastic job of writing and answering questions in the comments of your blog. Thanks for helping the world know more about the disaster from a very personal perspective. I'm so sorry to hear that you feel the need to leave the country and move to the US. Lack of censorship is something we take for granted in Canada.  :(
