Hi there!
How’s my 'Pretty Teacher' getting on at the other end of the NET? Hope your “Guardian Angel” never fails to stand by you; shielding you from all unforeseen dark forces!
I’m sorry for not responding to your message much earlier; no reasons can justify the delay. If at all I was to give one, obviously it would be only a lame excuse and I don’t really want to stand with such guilty conscience in front of your eyes.
Galina, thank you for enlightening me about the “International Translation Day”! You explained such a meaningful event without missing any important facts; you kept it short and sweet, to put in a nutshell. To tell truth, I feel ashamed for not knowing anything about the day in prior. Since I’ve already learnt from you, perhaps next year we both could celebrate the day in a small scale. (Sorry, I can’t afford for a Grand Celebration – bouquet or wine!) What you think, my dear teacher?
Now, regarding your question, the number of Languages I could speak and write: I only know three languages – Tamil (my mother tongue), Malay (our national language) and of course, English (the International language).
If I’m not mistaken, you are asking me this because of the various foreign phrases you noticed among my message the other day. Am I correct?! Sincerely speaking, I know nothing about those languages except Tamil, the last one in the list! I simply copied them from a website (after knowing their meaning in English) and pasted on your page. That’s the whole truth, nothing than the truth. I’m sorry if I would have disappointed you for some unknown reasons!
Ok! It seems a Great Week is going to end for all of us giving way to yet another Brand New Week. Thus, I’m sending you my 'Little Angle' with the message…
Hi Galina!
Can I ask you a favour? I’d like you to participate in this discussion, started by our fellow member Just Jessa. It’s a very interesting topic! She wants to know, “What are the three things that you would do when you knew that you’re going to die in 24 hours time?” Give a try, please! I’m simply curious to know what the three things are for you! In fact, I’ve laid out mine there! Don’t you wanna read them?!

Hi Galina!
Thank you very much! You often pay me compliments on my written English! I wonder whether I’m really worthy enough to be treated such! It simply shows how sincere you are in your words. Usually, only a kind hearted person does that, do you know that? You’re one of those benign souls. God will shower his blessings on you abundantly, for sure!
Well! “30th September – International Translation Day” Nope, I’ve never heard of it until you told me! It’s the gospel truth! What do people do on this day, Galina? Please…, don’t laugh!
I think I’m a kind of ‘whatchamacallit’! Yeah, you know… an introvert - someone who lives in his own world; doing things he likes best and would rather be alone than being in the company of every single person he meets! Strange, isn’t it? However, you can rest assured that I’m not “weird”! I’m just another ordinary person like anyone else: it’s only that I don’t mingle too much. Could I have inherited this from my forefathers? Just kidding, my friend! :-P
Ok! Before I forget, wish to a happy “International Translation Day” Just one last word: you asked me how to use this day to celebrate English language, didn’t you?! Well, for me, I’m going to spend the whole day "translating" the following:
Russian: С глаз долой - из сердца вон
Chinese: 這世界真小啊! [这世界真小啊]
Spanish: Estan lloviendo hasta maridos
The list is endlesss! I must start doing it now before the dawn breaks! he! he! he!
Bye, Galina!

Hi Galina!
I just dropped by to see how you're faring?! Please do not hesitate to ask any club members if you are in need of some assistance. Frankly speaking, from my over a month experience, I've found that all the members are ever ready when someone cries "S.O.S"! Just make yourself at home :-)
By the way, I'd like to invite you to "My Page". Perhaps, you can read and give your comment on my blog post, "Why is Enlgish Pronunciation Difficult? (An Intro...)" To read, simply click here: HERE!
(I hope this is not too much to ask a Dear Teacher!) Well, I wish you many pleasant days ahead at the Club. I'll catch up with you some other time. Bye!
With best Regards,
Gabriel Sowrian
