Hey there...

Hi Everyone,

Its been long long looong looooooooooonggg very long time... since I was here last time....

I hope everyone is doing well and pray for all of you for better times and opportunities.

Don't know if there are any dino-age spent outs who knew me still lurking around..

Life has been a barter system since its beginning. Give some get some. Sometimes you get nothing at all and sometimes you get when you are never expecting.

Amazed at this place's energy and enthusiasm of the people. Keep going on..

Brings back a lot of great memories.. Feeling nostalgic.. everything flashing in front of my eyes..

Can't give any guarantees.. but i'll try to be more regular... or may be just being lazy is more comfortable..

Have a good day and the days to come..

take care

Until next time

Adios

Warning:- Between the first and last line do not use your thinking cap

Thinking about thinking.. What have I been thinking??

I have been thinking about writing something but did not have a clue about what to write and still at sea by large. But then, Thinking thoughts, a train of completely unrelated superficial thoughts struck me bang on the back my head "How about writing about forceful thinking like the way I have been pounding my brain with tons of pressure to conjure up something magical that wins me a Nobel prize". then again it was nothing much more than wide eyed cold blooded Day dreaming.

So without all the fuss the fruit of thinking unceremoniously is presented to you without any sanitizing, that, does it make any difference to think and exert all your energy jeopardizing your about something which is not yet existing or not in our control.

Talking about control, I was not really thinking about addressing thinking theory, rather mention the declining number of blogs this year in comparison with previous years. (I am fascinated by numbers and stats because they reflect something if not the real picture)

Again drifting away wandering off track , the process of over thinking only lessens the ability to think rationally. The exerted pressure preempts the flow of logic and perception and only compounds to anxiety.

No hard thinking conclusion, just chill and think only when you think you need to think about thinking.

P.S Don't worry thoughts just end abruptly like this :D

Hello friends, hope you all are doing well and in fine shape. I had been away for a while because I was on vacations. Also due to a mishap I lost my laptop, therefore I became irregular. Hopefully I will find ample time and means to be back in the main stream.

Now coming to the point, my purpose of writing this blog is to point out the falling numbers in blog entries every month. When I returned, approximately after a month or so, I have observed a sharp decline in the number of blog entries as compared to last year's same period. MyEC is growing everyday so it is expected to be heading upwards. Although, it doesn't represent fully the active participation of the members, but it does reflect that may be the members are feeling the heat this summer :D.

I count my self as one of the lethargic culprits. Thus to redeem my self I decided to write this blog. A blog does not need to be very sophisticated. Its a matter of continuing the learning process and trying to better ourselves. Focus on the small details/problems you are having and hit the nail on the head. If you fail to grasp anything, try, try again.

Just as a sea constitutes of small water drops, bit by bit you can improvise and later excel in what you want to achieve. There is always a new thing to learn, new horizons to be discovered. Just keep your spirits up and keep pegging away. You will achieve the guile and craft of an artist.

Phew! That was very exhausting. Writing lengthy, structured narratives have always been Achilles heel for me. I always trip and tumble around and with me I take you to a spin as well. So before you all get dizzy I take my leave.

Keep on blogging!!

Two men, one American and an Indian were sitting in a bar drinking shot after shot.  The Indian man said to the American, You know my parents are forcing me to get married to this so called homely girl from a village whom I haven't even met once. We call this arranged marriage.  I don't want to marry a woman whom I don't love... I told them that openly and now have a hell lot of family problems.

The American said, Talking about love marriages... I'll tell you my story.  I married a widow whom I deeply loved and dated for 3 years. After a couple of years, my father fell in love with my step-daughter and so my father became my son-in-law and I became my father's father-in-law.  Legally now my daughter is my mother and my wife my grandmother.  More problems occurred when I had a son. My son is my father's brother and so he is my uncle. Situations turned worse when my father had a son. Now my father's son i.e. my brother is my grandson.  Ultimately, I have become my own grandfather and I am my own grandson..  And you say you have family problems..

Dear Ultimate,

In response to Tara's writing challenge about uncountable nouns, I am writing this letter to you depicting a fiction story about an incident, that might test your patience.

Do I need to mention the time when you were caught shop lifting at a store. I did not know what had gotten into you. Your conduct was dubious from the beginning of the day as you came out of your house dressed as an Eskimo while I was pondering how hot the weather was.

Since the heat was unbearable, we got into a store to pick up some cold drinks. You picked up a can of Coke and put it in your pocket, that was the first hint of your burgeoning negligence. Then you stuffed four packs of chips. Your outfit already raised a lot of suspicion in the mind of the cashier. I had long forgotten about any hint of your existence, and wandered out. Meanwhile you carried on your venture. My disappearance prompted you to get going hastily, forgetting to pay on the counter. There you were caught by the cashier and his assistant, and they literally made you lick all the dirt on the floor while making you yield all the supposedly stolen stuff. As you had no proof of your innocence. By some good luck I peddled back in to the store only to find you requiring some serious help. As you got back up with the mist clearing in your mind, you let out a scream of fury and steam came out of your ears. But my timely intervention and touch of intelligence prevented any further tyranny. The cashier and his assistant acknowledged your sincerity and asked forgiveness. With your compassion it all ended in laughter.

I hope that you will warm up to the challenge and show honesty by acknowledging the calamity described above.

Your ardent friend

Naveed

P.S I am suspicious there are words that I have wrongly stated as uncountable nouns and some right ones that I may have missed, I would welcome corrections from any one

Correction: in a laughter -> in laughter , thanks to Expector Smith

The operator, in a calm soothing voice says: “Just take it easy. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead.” There is a silence, then a shot is heard.

The guy's voice comes back on the line. He says: “OK, now what?“

Confronting my enigma!

Learning English has been like a habit to me, on and off depending upon my mood. By god's grace I have not had to strive much hard to grasp to the common tongue and I have always felt natural expressing my self. Live conversation are the most exciting for me which really fills my heart with thrill and glee, feels like its flowing through me.

Writing longer narratives are a problem for me, because I find it hard to concentrate long enough to constitute a logical and time worthy comprehension. It also exposes my weaknesses, baring all flaws that I prefer not to confront.

So here I am, to face off with my dread and strike fear in the heart of my apprehension, beat it with just the tips of my fingers, and inscribe a moment in history, etched on the walls of MyEC.

I have always felt that I am at a loss of words whenever I plan to compile something.

The ideas that come rushing to my mind, exploding like a volcano and destroying the very essence of the deliberation.

Every thing becomes vague and grotesque as I am left searching for the remaining shreds. This impulsive pattern has lead me to change my approach to writing.

As the ideas start unfolding themselves I try to preserve them by writing down, although disconnected, and try to focus them around the nucleus of of my notion. I imply an orthodox approach with a relative build up to the theme, then a direct introduction of the matter, the concise details that fulfill the purpose of my elaboration and closing credits that may lean towards a conclusion.

The most difficult part is keeping structure and grammar in check without breaking the rhythm/flow which I want to maintain. I must confess I give very little attention to grammatical details and prefer to illustrate my instincts, which is not a good practice.

Now where does EC comes in all of this, I can't thank enough to EC for giving me the motivation, ambition, challenge, excitement, thrill, direction, motive all of it with fun and enjoyment. I learn each and everyday and it fuels my desire to learn more. EC has helped immensely in improving my self in many dimensions of the language and my life.

Now I end your excruciating agony of reading this blog. I absolutely empathize, sympathize and feel compassion for the tormented readers of this calamity of a blog.
