Is there any particular reason for using NGT rather than OGT? As far as I know, OGT is easier to insert. Also, NGT may cause nasal sores, sinusitis, etc.
I've got a question. I'm wondering if you can answer it as a doc.
Do you have any protochol for inserting NGT/OGT for intubated patients in your ICUs? I mean is it prefered to use an NGT or OGT for patients who are sedated and have ETT?
