You greeted a new member, but found the new member failed to respond to your greeting. You even felt so disappointed or disheartened. If that's the case, you're not alone in feeling that.
Yes, it can be so frustrating. Will you keep helping greet/welcome newbies even though they've failed to respond?

thank you ...shared my experiences when I ws an active member of this group ...due to circumstances was not able to be as active ....I remember the response of one member though .I cannot remember her as it ws few years back ...she mentioned in her blog how she felt welcomed the second time when she came back to EC after leaving ...the first was a bit annoying seeing a stranger with gif and a welcome note but the second time around she appreciated it...

No matter what persevere in greeting with the same enthusiasm....The active members sure will remember you and the words of advice shared with them ....
you may get a bonus of being their friend . My contacts expanded greatly through me knocking at their door and welcoming them ....
Great. Thanks for sharing your experience of welcoming newbies.

I think we should give them some time to be adjusted here. In the very beginning when someone said ' hi' to me I also took some time to response them. So, if any newbie would not response I would not mind because I can guess the reason. But we should welcome them and try to help them out.

Many thanks to Mishaikh, Nimzaf, Onee!
I'm pleased you all agree it's a good idea to keep greeting newbies even though they may have failed to respond - I do appreciate it.
Keep it up!
On the contrary, may be the person feel shy to respond, because of language. Before this blog of your Expector, I didn't about being un-responded. I never came in my mind. I did have different un-thankful response as I have already mentioned. But it is okay, I never stopped greeting. This is our club, and we have to provide all the newbies a friendly atmosphere.
