I absolutely agreed. Whatever, I still believe that in somehow traditional classroom till much benefits, especially on face-to-face. As we know, tutorial based face-on-face costs expensive.
I have also a problem in my pronunciation. I searched on the net and found out there was a tutor available. She charged $60 for an hour. I understand that sometime it is worth to travel / pay to get what you need. However I found out that that teacher had not prepared her lesson very well to meet her student’s needs. I found that I had not learnt much from her.
After that, I ordered a CD and learn myself but I feel it is not easy and really frustrated!!

Yes, I am Catholic from birth. I went to the Catholic church of Denver when I was there, but I am not quite sure that was the church where you mentioned. I don't know much about Protestant. I will find information about this.
What do you think about Electronic Learning? What is the role of e-learning in Learning English as a Second Language? How can we teach and/or learn ESL through this medium?
Someone stated that it's difficult to learn via electronic technology alone. Research shows that even if English is one's first language can find themselves 'toxic' worry. Moreover the size of a group needs to be considered. If a 'system' becomes too large, it can start to breakdown. Therefore they suggest that "putting people at the centre, face-to-face, of the system rather than technology".
My thoughts are: It is true to concern about the size of a group. However, ESL online learning has more advantages, especially for adults.
As we aware, traditional distance education involved three conditions: text, broadcast and tutorial (face-to-face). However, nowadays, all these conditions also can be offered all the way through the medium!
In the classroom, even face-to-face learning but sometime it is hard for teachers to focus on each student within a large group. Learning online, the format will build in one-on-one, and moreover, the learners can access 24 hours and in 7 days.
However, one thing that is important for learners when learning online is 'Learning Habit'. The learners much be self-motivated.

Hi Bill . Thank for reply ! i want to learn EL because EL is international language , right ? Another reason , i'm a student in Vietnam righnow , but after graduate , i'd like to go to abroad to study master . so i really want to learn EL . i have known EL long time ago but i have been learning seriously about 8-9 months . in Vietnam , i dont have too much chance to use EL because a little bit foreigner lives in VN . Hi Bill, thanks for adding me as your friend. Yeah...they are my pupils. I'm teaching in a rural area. This is my first year teaching. And like your story, I also resigned from a career of being Environmental Engineer to be a teacher and teach English. I love my previous career but I love most to teach English and produce more engineer. Hehee...Absolutely, I enjoy English Club.

Thanks for your concern, I'd appreciate it.
I have learned English for nearly 10 years.
My favorite part is oral(practical) English, though there is a long way to go. And I've no idea about my dislike, since learning English is one of my interests now.

I know, I can learn a lot here! Now, what I will do is to find what is the main part(of English learning) I need to improve and make a plan.

I want to thank you again for all the thing you've done for the English learner, thank you!

I have lived in USA for 11yrs. My life isn't bad at all , but my English isn't good as much. I try to improve my English everyday and mayways but it seems still same level where i am now. I wish someday i can speak English as well as my firt language.
You asked me what do i think about life.?
Life is a present which God gave for everyone. Everyone accepted a life with different points of view. It depends on knowledge of people, and it depends on how people know appreciate what they have. I know you believe in God, but i don't know you are Catholic or Christian, but i do believe that we believe the same God. God created every thing on this Universal perfectly. He wanted all people had a happy life, but we could see many people had a difficult life. The difficult life which people have faced it because people don't believe in God and people put God away of their life.
