English is definitely on its way to becoming the international language. For whatever reason it is being used to link across the many individual native languages of the world. I don't think it will replace local languages, but it may mix with them and change them somewhat.
I strongly agree with your desire to study abroad. The academic knowledge of English is one thing, but the practical use of it in an English-speaking environment will force you to learn it much better. It is the only way to excel at it. When your daily sruvival counts on using English, you learn it quickly and more deeply.
For now I would be glad to converse with you in English, but not on e-mail yet. I have trusted some people with my email and now I am getting a lot of scams and offensive emails. So I usually converse through EC messaging for a while and then build up trust before I give my external e-mail. This is now my policy for all EC members because of my bad experience so do not take this personally. But yes, feel free to converse with me about anything you want and if you request, I will even correct your written English.

Nice to meet you. Tell me why you want to learn English. How long have you studied English? Do you get much of a chance to use it?
