Do you pay attention to EC proverbs and idioms of the day?
What do they mean and say in your language?
For example: in English this proverb (like a piece of cake) says; easy
We say in Persian: like drinking a glass of water.;.....

......

    • Oh yes dear Mahgol,

      Do you know why we say " you became soheil's star"?

      because in some citys like Isfahan ,Yazd and other  can see just for some minutes .

      Because when it come up till 6 degrees then go down and we can not see it again .

      Let me solve this problem please!

      Gul is also an English word too!

      It is a noun which means:

      1. a large octagonal design derived from the shape of a rose, a motif on Oriental rugs.

      2. a flower, especially a rose.

                                  

      Gul has come from Persian which means Flower.

      We also have many other words in English that have their roots in Persian, let's see some of them please:

      Candy from qand

      Sugar from Shkar

      Julep from Golab

      Lemon from limu

      Orange from Narng

    And also we have many idioms about "Cats" in English.
