Favourite Movies:The English patient

To tell the truth,I have a lot of favourite movies, but if I really had to choose one amongst them,it would be The English Patient.

The film is an American romantic drama, made in 1996,written and directed by Anthony Minghella, based on the book with the same title of Michael Ondaatje. The film won 9 Oscars, including the best picture, for what reason I like this film too.Pictures of the Sahara are magic! The casting is fabulous too, starring Ralph Finnes,Christin Scott Thomas,Juliette Binoche,Colin Firt

Start with your self

The Sea of Life

The sun disappears behind the horizon,And we call it another day,Coming closer to life or death,Its something I cannot say..But what one looks forIs what he will find,For every one's life,is one of a kind. What we expectis what we get.Its no use tojust sit and fretThe going gets tough now and then,Fuzzy and hazy seems the path,But come to think of it,On the sea of life we are mere froth.Which forms with the wavesand eventually melts with them,At times beholding prosperityat times mayhem.Yes I'm a

Why Study Literature?

Many years back when I was a student I asked my teacher why do we need to study Literature at all? I was told my by learned teacher that there are many reasons but I would be given only two- one because it is the part of the course prescribed by the board so we just can't escape from it and secondly and more importantly it would help us to understand the nuances of English Language. I wasn't fully convinced so I put a rejoinder to my previous question as why does the board prescribe such a cours

Dad doesn't feel well today...

Everyday, I'm woken up for breakfast by Dad. He is my beloved one. But today, he doesn't feel well. And i'm so scared...Cook him some soup, and buy him medicine. That's all I can do. Just sitting here, and thinking about what Dad has done for me so far, I realize that it's time for me to grow up and take care of Dad. The pains he got from the War still alive, painful... Am I losing him as time goes by?
